Cru defense too much, UMHB 28-10.

That would be similar to the St. Thomas outcome, although two quick scores by UMHB put that one away in what was otherwise a close game.  If Brockport can replicate that kind of effort then I'd be proud of them.

Still ever hopeful for a big time upset.  Realistically anything under a monkey stomp is a step in the right direction for the region.  This is the same team that monkey stomped Linfield twice this year after all .  Only four out of the thirteen games has had a final margin under 3 scores.

Holy cow it's Final 4 game day morning. What a great year for Brockport football. The success is already paying off on the recruiting trail. This game is gonna shock a lot of people when the lead goes back and forth and Brockport wins on a big pass play late. 27-23.

Anything is possible at this point in the playoffs but you are correct that would be a shock.

Here is a pretty good video created by Linfield players who visited the Cruthedral, it'll give ya an idea what your young men will see. Enjoy, I hope their experience is excellent! I hope the surroundings and settings bring the very best out of both sides and athletes.

Crusader Stadium is very impressive.  When you let the youtube video run it brings you to an even more impressive tour of the stadium... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Mnlec3ouOA...We have nothing really comparable in D3 in the East. RPI's East Campus Village stadium is the closest and that's only on one side of the field. It's little wonder with facilities such as this and Texas high school athletes to recruit that UMHB is at the top of D3.

Mind you, most high school football stadia in Texas are high-capacity, what with many towns eating, breathing and sleeping football. Hence, Friday Night Lights.

Pep is at a hotel near the Cicero-N.Syracuse High School where AU QB Tyler Johnson played his high school ball. After seeing the high school football stadium, Pep can imagine that playing at Alfred was a step down from the crowds at high school games.

Pep was blessed to visit the Cruthedral last summer in a coast-to-coast solo trip that included a stop in Belton en route to meet up with Coach Eric Taylor in Austin. Sure, the stadium is impressive....designed by the architect of the new Yankee Stadium...but the people at UMHB trump the facilities. Just outstanding people!

Pep will be rooting for the Golden Eagles today...but if the E8 champs fall in the semi's, Pep is partial to purple and gold.  ;)

On Saxon Warriors!

On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!

Dlip says 45-10 UMHB. Dlip is proud of the Port and wishes them all the luck in the world. This is probably the most proud dlip has been of any last east region team standing in some time. Not to mention they are probably one of the best east region last standing teams in some time. Very impressive defeating the likes of Wesley and Del Val to get here.

dlip would love to eat crow today!

I'm using my PlayStation and the WatchESPN app.  Mount Union currently down 21-10 at the half.

Bartman

Oshkosh looking like the @#*#ing Green Bay Packers, manhandling UMU 35-10....plenty of game left though...

Feeling an upset in Texas....Brockport 24 UMHB 21....a perfect game for Brockport but Crusaders commit too many turnovers.....dlip eats crow :P

Not a good start for Brockport.  Int and down 7 a minute into the game.  The pass looked ugly in the air.  Nice play by the Cru player.

thewaterboy

UMHB d-line getting good pressure so far...

wesleydad

Brockport will need to score on this drive or this game could end up ugly.  They had a nice drive, but no points did not help.

wesleydad

The top tier is just a whole different level of play and you are seeing it here.  UMHB is real good and Brockport needed to be near perfect to be in the game, 2 turnovers out of 3 drives and you are not going to have a chance.

dlippiel

Wesleydad a could not be more correct. This is very disappointing but exactly what dlip expected. dlip knows these Brockport players are fighting. They are just over matched. Keep fighting Golden Eagles!

D3viewer

Brockport just getting exposed. Worst case scenario. I missed the first TD. I assume germinerio threw a pick 6 or INT backed up in his own end. MHB class of athlete is exceptional. They all seem to be tough, well put together kids. Brockport has shown zero run game other than Germinerio's runs. Morrison ineffective. A lot of no backs. But Brockport has no TE in their offense. Their blocking has been suspect on the perimeter. Receiver's dropping passes or just not open. Exposed on special teams. Tackling is suspect. D has made a few plays, offense nothing at this point.

Upstate

Yeah this is just a poor showing...

At least put up a fight...
