Oh man...I feel like Supes was a decade ago at this point.  He was active in the 2006
period and then rode into the sunset not long after.  We aren't getting any younger

Week 5. Full slate of all Empire 8 on Empire 8 action.


12PM Alfred 2-1 @ Morrisville 2-1.   Pep Bowl. 2 pretty evenly matched teams go at it with AU slipping by with a win.

12PM  Team Boltus 2-1 @ Buzzed St 0-3.  Bengals look piss poor to date (what happened Coach Boyes ?). Neither team has a defense, so I'll go with Hartwick's more balanced offense. The Wick wins in the 
                                                              buff .
130PM  Cortland 2-1 @ Utica 2-1.  Cortland's D looks actually solid so far ( so does UC's). Expect Cortland's better offense to be the difference for the win. Post game party at Turning Stone.


6PM SJF 0-2 @ #4 Brockport 3-0.   Courage Bowl. Find out what happens when an offense who has averaged 20 yards a game rushing (SJF in case you didn't know) faces  a defense who has only allowed
                                                    10 yards a game rushing (Brockport). Does Fisher pass every down ? Or do they break the time space continuum and rush for over 100 yards ?                  Inquiring  minds want to know. Tune in to find out. Statistically these teams are very far apart. Bport in in the top 15 in the country in both total offense and total defense. Fisher is not but has played tough competition. Will all that competeing pay off ? I say Brockport is just way too much.

Bengals look piss poor to date (what happened Coach Boyes ?)

I love me some Boyes, obviously, but this second go round with Buff State just hasn't really done much. The Whitewater win was a big deal, and they had some nice seasons in 2014 and 2015 (helped by scheduling Finlandia of all teams in 2014, but they've basically treaded water since he came back. They've gone 32-31 in conference play the last 8 years.

Still, they've yet to play a home game this year, which is a tough way to start the season

Looks like Brockport will be wearing white at home for the Courage Bowl as part of the trendy "White Out" promotion.

Looked pretty even to me. 5 point win . Almost identical yards per play 5.3 to 5.2.  And Bports didn't you say Justin Morrison would stay healthy all year ?

Now I will eat crow on the Buff St predicted loss to Team Boltus. Buff st trashed them.

Pep was wearing a Morrisville State hoodie over his Alfred Football tee-shirt and the Mustangs were riding along, 16-6. When Pep took the Mustang hoodie off (in front of the AU fans), declared that he had sported the green "M" long enough, the Saxons went on a 21-point run to take a 27-16 lead.

Once the Saxons got the two-score lead, they seemed to begin to "coast" and a couple mistakes (including running out an INT from the end zone then getting stripped of the ball) got Morrisville back in the game. All in all, an entertaining game and well worth the ride "back home" to Moo'ville, where they treated Pep to a free breakfast, free ticket to the game and free lunch in the Drake Field hospitality suite!

About what i figured the score to be in the courage bowl. Brockport with just way better athletes all over the field. The coaching staff better get these penalties cleaned up. After 17-241 the last game they had 15-150 tonight. This is on the coaches !! Get it cleaned up !! Coaches are also leaving the best rb on the bench for some reason? Benedict is a complete stud please give him some carries with the 1's. I don't like complaining after 55 and 42 pt wins but 32 penalties for almost 400 yds the last 2 games is embarrassing. Especially wit h a bye week between games to clean it up.
