Just an abysmal offensive first half for Fisher.

QB 3/7 for 42 yards

13 Carries 35 yards by their backs.

Just fire this offense into the sun. Zero creativity, zero tempo.

Trailing 7-3 at the half.

Brockport's offensive line is getting eaten alive by Cortland's d-line.

I was completely wrong about this game. Brockport has no answers

FisherFaithful03

Yeah Fitzy is eating Fox's defense for lunch...

If only Fisher kept one of them to lead the team instead sticking with the status quo...

Halftime in Cortland - 24-3 Red Dragons.

Game is a tale of two QB's ....Four Interceptions by Brockport QB's. They had the one big run on the first drive and that's been the entire offence for the Golden Eagles.

Boyes has been steady for Cortland. Hardly any mistakes. Moving the ball fairly well despite the Brockport front four. Side note - they are legit.

Can't see Brockport making enough adjustments. But stranger things have happened.

Give me a botte of anything. And a Glazed Donut. To go.

Great adjustments after half...

They go 3 and out...

The not so special teams allow a big return and Morrisville has the ball in Fisher territory...

They had a chance to go out with a good note these last two games and are fumbling their chances...

Final in Cortland - Red Dragons 41, Golden Eagles, 17.

Didn't watch much of the 2nd half, took the kids to the park for some fresh air.

Happy for the Kids and especially Coach Fitz, who was starting to hear some whispers about winning big games.

On to Butterfield!

With all the hype I missed it. Spent the day on the ATV in the mountains of PA! Congrats to the Dragons! Didn't seeing it going down like that! CORTACA time!!

From what I saw, Cortland looks REALLY good. The Red Dragons made Brockport look absolutely ordinary at best today. Many of us wondered about and questioned if this Cortland team could win a big game. They certainly did today with Walt Clyde Frazier gusto. Congratulations.

So far this season that Dragon Offense hasn't faltered. If memory serves me correct, 2 special teams meltdowns near the end of the Susquehanna game (muffed punt return and fumbled  KOR) gave Sus 2 free scores as they gained possession near the red zone. The Defense seems to have been sorted  out since getting slashed that week.

IC seems to lack flash and pizzazz but has lots of grit! Can't sleep on that! This game is always nuts, but best when both teams are sitting pretty.

All 4 games I was a part of had wild endings....97-00! We had late TDs and in 97 and 99 (we won) and then goal line stands in 98 and 00 (we lost). In 99 when we upset IC, the police dogs were let loose on the fans who rushed Butterfield! In 00 when IC stopped us on a 4th and 1 on the games last play, the police unleashed  pepper spray on those who rushed the field from both sides!

Crazy times back then! I can't imagine what those kids felt when they played at MetLife and Yankee stadium in front of 40,000 fans. Playing in front of 10,000 was amazing!

Cortland's offense is rarely the problem, though they had two 3-and-outs at the end of the Susquehanna game that hurt.

Ithaca's a much different offense than they were a month ago. AJ Wingfield embodied QB1 in every way, and he always raised his game in big moments. He was probably my favorite QB to watch since Josh Felicetii.

But the undeniable thing that I've seen in the past few weeks is that Schumm just has a stronger arm. And at 6-4 vs. Wingfield's 5-11, he's got the ability to make certain types of throws to certain areas of the field that Wingfield just didn't. He's yet to really be tested, however. IC largely kept the training wheels on against Rochester, and Buff State and St. Lawrence really just don't provide the opposition.

My gut says Cortland is the favorite here. I was very impressed with their defensive line against Port. I think 31-20 Red Dragons is sort of where I land.

I like your prediction, but sometimes slow and steady wins the race! I'm not much of a gambling man, so I won't even try to predict a score or even a straight winner. I might be skewed with my thinking, but typically either Cortland wins by a close margin , or IC slaps us silly. I'll have to go back to the scores but that is what has stuck with me. Doesn't seem to matter who is the better team on paper is, but how it tends to shake out. Obviously I'm rooting for the C Dawgs and a win with some style points!

Yeah, the theme for a long time was "IC wins in a blowout or Cortland wins close."

I'd personally flip that this year. IC has been battle tested in close games and come through. Cortland hasn't — in part because they boat race so many teams.

I think a close game favors IC. But if you told me the score was like 34-10, I'd assume Cortland won it.

This is a really interesting cortaca jug game this year with the loss of AJ Wingfield. The new QB has a live arm but obviously this is the biggest game of his career. Clearly Ithaca is going to have to rely on their run game and hopefully lull Cortland to sleep and try and connect on some big plays off of play action. The past few years Ithaca has had really impressive game plans, especially defensively to deal with the Cortland offense.

This is the first home Cortaca for IC since 2017 so they should have a ton of emotion finally playing in front of the home crowd. I will obviously be picking IC here but I do believe that if Vegas was making odds, Cortland would be a slight favorite based on the QB situation.

To me, this post sums up Cortaca perfectly, absolutely right on +k.

What a great high stakes college football game for these students athletes to be a part of. Very happy for them and they are very deserving for all of the sacrifice and hard work they've put in both on and off the field.

Upset Alert.

7-0 AU over Brockport in the 2nd QTR.

Only reason why I'm saying upset alert is because Brockports offense looks GOD AWFUL.

4 yards passing, penalties, fumble by a RB deep inside own territory. Brockport is lucky this is only 7-0 as AU has had two drives stall deep inside Brockport territory and missed two chip shot FGs.
