Yep, 6 of 17 for 168 yards.  That won't cut it this week.
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

82 of his 168 came on one pass too.

Bombers 30 (1 FG, 2 missed PT's)
Hawks 13   (2 FG's)

Not to shabby of a prediction if i do say so myself.

Since the board is quiet it seems like a good time to pass along some news I heard from a friend of Ithaca Athletics.  Evidentally former Bomber Ron Amato earned his first win as the head coach at Ithaca High School on Friday.  The win snaps a losing streak that lasted several full seasons, predating Amato who is in either his second or third year.  After all his success at IC Amato has coached at St. Lawrence and then inherited the bad news bears of central NY high school football.   All that losing has to be hard to adjust to.  Looks like he is turning I-High around.

Welcome back Bomber 27!  2 questions... Are you still out West? Will I see you at Butterfield this year?

I am still out west and I am working on getting back for a game.  I think it would be great to get back.  I might try and get steenberg and dona back there too

AUPepBand,

Looks like some good numbers in your predictions.  I think your AU score is a little conservative.  Thiel's team from last year lost many key players - QB, 2WR's, 2LB's, DE, DB, and their SS.  Last year their offense was more passing than rushing.  They won by putting up points and did not show a particularly good defense.  All in all,  AU 28 - Thiel 10.

How is AU looking, did they scrimmage this weekend? Thiel only scored 7 in there opener, i think they will have to put up a few more to be a threat to us this weekend.  i was at the hartwick game this weekend, does anyone know why the tryed to score with 30 sec. left in the game when they were up?
thanks, peace

Were a score kept at Saturday's scrimmage with Brockport in the rain at Merrill Field, it would probably have been AU 24-6.

I believe AU is ready to start some hittin'. The defensive front, according to Murray, is the strongest he's had here. And as always, he's got a few freshmen who may have an immediate impact.

On Offense, we'll miss Reger and Zarzycki but Gibbons is stepping up and looking good at TE and a couple of freshmen WRs are mixing it up with the vets for playing time. Keeley, Newsome and Fuentes all look great.

On Defense, that nasty #42 has gone across the street to help coach the Alfred State team (good to see him still in town)...and we'll miss Myers, Fuller and Smith. But the outspoken Gatto will make his presence known; Rammacher, Coupe, Medlock, Nitsche, along with a freshman, Brent McGill, who dons the #42... the defense should be solid. Coach Murray will see to it.

AUPepBand is working on building a little more crowd involvement at the games. A "secret weapon" is scheduled to be released during Homecoming. Every Saxon fan will want one.....coming to Merrill Field on Saturday, Sept. 30!!!

And to think after graduating I almost forgot about this site.....

Good to see the old crew still around and to see Fisher still being respectable.

Are the Ithaca fans holding a grudge that I don't remember anything about? What did I do to you guys? Was I not vocal enough in my support of Ithaca against Brockport fans a few years ago??
