IC Fans,

If you look at last years statistics and and the Kings game, you will see that the Fisher defense has been very solid.  Last year they ranked near the top of upstate new york in most of the important defensive categories like points allowed and yardage allowed.  See for yourself on the upstate new york football website.  Only horrible densive game we played last year was against Ithaca ( and the second half against Hartwick).  Lets go Fisher keep it rollin...

...but the Fisher D couldn't tackle Alfred's little #20... Defensive stats can be deceiving when a potent offense such as the Cardinals' is on the field most of a given day.

Last year it feels like Fisher wasn't playing with a lot of heart at the end (aka against Alfred and RPI).  Not to say they weren't trying, but there was not a sense of urgency (especiallllllly against RPI).  But hopefully they can get their passing game into the swing of things and if so I believe the Fisher-Ithaca game will no doubt be for all of the marbles, because no offense Alfred fans but if those two teams play to their full potential Alfred is just a sort of third wheel.

Rowdy Rowdy Bomber

Hey Tecmo,

Booby -

Agreed about last fall.  Seemed like more of the same last Saturday, too.  Offensive play calls are suspect too.  Like the uncovered hitch pass that gets run 6 times a game and is bound to either get picked off (see '04 game in NCAAs & '05 game at IC) or get the WR killed.  I thought that play would go away when Foster left, but it seems to be a staple.  We even used it with no success when I played.

ER - what's the deal from the boys' perspective?  How did they feel about their performance?  Didn't seem like they utilized their best two offensive players in the same set much.  I didn't notice Robinson & Reile out much together last week until maybe end of 3rd qtr?

All I know is the plan is to have them split time equally-that should mean that Reile should start this weekend

Being that I was in a backfield that split time alot, I saw that one always takes the lead.  ER, who is going to do that this year

The passes your talking about that were picked off were not those uncovered hitch passes, in '04 it was an out to the wide side of the field and in '05 it was the bubble route that Noah ran so well that was thrown late by Sooch.

Speeking of the "bubble" route that SJF ran alot, I'd like to see Reile in the slot and get him the ball in that situation.  He's sooo dangerous in the open field, it would be a crime not to!

B27- the plan right now is to split time right down the middle, each getting starts, and splitting series as well-seemed to work with Kings, so they will probably stay with it

Pepband,

Glad to see the pictures are finally working!

Flight has been purchased for the weekend of the 23rd.  It'll be a short weekend, but at least I don't have to wait until November to get back to NY.

"i can't wait to line up on saterday and see if your boys are as tough as you guys build them up to be."

tecmobowler

Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th
