They are running all over the "U", Springfields QB has 240+ yds rushing and over 100yds passing....

Still 32-30, but the Pride is driving....

Going backwards after getting to the 2....

Great weekend for the E-8's top teams....

AU gets a shutout vs Theil!

Bombers trounce Buff St!!

SJF runs over UofR!!!

Springfield upsets Union!!

Damn Utica had to go and mess up the whole weekend!!

truebluefan05

wow! congratulations to springfield. Very big win for that program after an uncharacteristic year last year. Also a great win for the empire 8.

Maybe this game should change some of our minds about the Fisher vs. Ithaca game being the empire 8 championship. Definately a possibility, but this is a big statement for Springfield. Great to see the E8 looking strong this year beyond just one or two teams.

I'm planning on tailgaiting for the Fisher vs Ithaca game, anyone else making the trip planning on tailgaiting???

trueblue,

I taking a half day Friday so I can get in that night and get some tailgating in before the game Saturday morning.  I know orangehat will be there too, and I'd bet that Tec(h)mo will be there.  It's a relatively short drive, so I would expect to see plenty of FDC shirts.

I think its safe to say who the E-8 player of the week is this week...

Springfield QB was 4-5 for 107 yards and 2tds and rushed 23 times for 268 yards and 4 tds....

he had a decent game i guess....

And congrats to Brockport on taking Salisbury. After the Seagulls' win at W&J, who'd have thunk?

AU,

Thanks...Congrats specifically to Alfred too!  Yeah, Brockport's dominance (or what sounded like dominance) on defense against the wing T option offense shocked me completely.  I thought the game would be much closer with the score much higher.  This is however good prep for which now looks like will be a very difficult game at Springfield later in the season!

And by the way, the East Region is looking very entertaining this year, moreso than usual.  Should be a nice ride!

Pepband,

Glad to see the pictures are finally working!

All thanks to you, MIYH...finally took the time to apply your excellent instruction.

Saxons pitched a shutout today against a very tough Thiel team. Bombers rolled over Buff State, Pride knocked off Union, Fisher put together a second half to beat UR, St. Lawrence edged Norwich, Utica fell at Husson (yikes).

No specifics yet on injury of AU's Julio Fuentes (#20), who went down on the second half kickoff return, was taken off the field strapped to a stretcher, then, I learned later, was taken from Hornell hospital by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial in Rochester. Prayers for Julio...much appreciated.

What the heck happened to Utica College?

The local Utica paper didnt cover too much of the aftermath....

They had them going to the NCAAs!

FLA10

From the sounds of it they had an absolute horrid day offensively.  Defense gave them the ball in the red zone a few times and they came away empty.  Three picks dont help either.  Who runs the offense over there??   Maybe time for a change?

How bout those Buckeyes!!!!
