what's the general feeling about how the bomber defense will do against the cardinal O?
All hail the Booga

I think it's hard to say anything, except both teams have won, but neither team has been tested yet.

Just be fair, honest and don't insult anyone or any team intentionally.  Use facts to substantiate opinion and state it as such.  That will keep you out of trouble for a while, but sooner or later someone will take offense to something or come back with ill-logic. Spelling and grammar are clues to posters also.

Best of luck,

Iceman did you make it to the scrimmage?  How did Grastorf look?
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

Any buzz on the rumor of Lycoming maybe jumping to the Empire 8 conference?

The MAC pages had some chatter earlier and I was wondering if any of you heard anything?

I will say this - for years Lycoming admired IC from afar for their quality program year in and year out.

It does make a geographic fit to some degree and with the movement of Susquehanna to the Liberty League makes me wonder if the Warriors might be looking northward themselves.

Comments?  Pat?

Lyco,

I heard somewhere, not too recently, that Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ was joining the E8.  They used to be known as Stevens Hoboken Institute of Technology. (Check that acronym)

Best wishes,

Lycoming would be a hell of an addition if there's any truth to that. I don't know how they look this year, but they are bad memories for Bomber fans. A 49-7 home loss in '04 and a 33-30 OT loss last year right after we had cracked Pat's top ten for the first and only time.... until next week. Pat, how many points do we have to beat "The Cardinal" by to crack the T10? Let me know and I can forward it directly to djuvan1@ithaca.edu for processing and execution. Your wish is our command.

Speaking of rankings, Ithaca is also ranked ahead of Linfield for the first time ever.

P.S.

Lyco,

By afar if you mean geographically, Williamsport isn't all that far from Ithaca and you are right about their program.
I used to live about 25 miles from Juniata.  My kids went to Tyrone Area High School.  Take a look at their high school record over the years.  They are 3-0 as we speak beating both Huntingdon and Lewistown, much larger schools.

Good luck this season.  I have always rooted for Lycoming and knew a family who's kid went there.  I'm currently retired in the Catskills.

I am not player by the way shot out to bomber27. You know the fact of the matter is that things are not personal, so sorry to hurt egos or feeling. Yeah Fisher has beat Alfred in previous years but let the record show that it has not been a blow out in any of the games. Then all this "fisher tradition" there is no such thing. And as far as Fisher good offense having a bad game against AU. In my opinion when your at home and the post season is on the line, you dont have off games Superman57.

Ithaca has always had a strong program for years and lets be real. Ithaca progam has dominated the Empire 8 for some years now. My beef was how can Fisher be even considered to be in the same catagory as Ithaca. Fisher scores alot of point and yeah they went far in the playoffs a couple years back but there is a difference when you do it year to year. And as far Brockport goes portgrad2004, how can you sit there and even jump into the E8 talk. When you play fisher the game is always over in first half, your out of your league

AU is a program that has turned things around and are improving with each year. Why would you hate on that. Anyone that played Alfred within the pass 3 years would agree

Have heard nothing of Lyco moving to the Empire 8, but AUPepBand would be happy to see it happen. Would rather travel 2.5 hours to Williamsport than excursions to Maine. I don't believe AU and Lycoming have ever met on the gridiron in a regular season game. However, Lyco and AU often met in scrimmages during the Yunevich Era.

It burns me that I can't get in this trash talking, but I'm too damn busy. Come Wednesday I will be on here far more, however. Stevens has been added for basketball but I'm not sure about any other sports. Jose, congrats on the bar. I may end up in FL, as well. I have a callback interview w/Proskauer Rose's office in Boca. Amended early prediction:

Ithaca- 18
Fisher- 1

Wait, that's the score of the all-time series. My bad.
A 2004 graduate of the "almighty legendary" Ithaca College. Goooooo Bombers.

i dont think he suited up.  i didnt see his name on the lineup or hear his name called.  but the lineup card also didnt have all the players on it.  two QBs played, either way though, neither of them performed well.
All hail the Booga

Saxon73....I am not usually one to throw in my two cents, but now is the time.  Until  two years ago Fisher had NEVER beaten brockport.  Two years ago they won on a hail mary with no time left and last year was certainly not over at the half.  Get your facts right.

Ithaca 28

Wow, now there's a first....so many AU posters that we're getting them all mixed up?

P.S. Haven't heard anything new on Fuentes...still praying. Hope to report some GOOD NEWS on his condition soon!
