With Springfield doing so well, I'm wondering where the Springfield bandwagoneers are? No "Hey Pride!" this year yet?

On second half kick-off return in AU's 14-0 win over Thiel, Fuentes, AU's starting tailback, was blocking and took a nasty hit, suffering a serious neck injury, causing paralysis from neck down. Was taken to Hornell's St. James Hospital then taken by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial in Rochester where he underwent surgery that night. He was still in "guarded" condition as of Sept. 16...his condition had been further complicated by pneumonia. Last word is that he now has use of his arms...and we continue to pray for his healing.

Don't know why there is some thing going on about AU and Brockport but just to clarify. Alfred has seen Brockport this year. We scrimmaged them and although both sides were throwing people in and out, the score came down to Alfred being up I believe, 3 scores to 1 or maybe 4 to 1. I lost count as they didn't put it on the board. AUPepBand probably knows. I have absolutely nothing against Brockport, in fact we have a local boy #97 playing there and for his sake, I hope they do well. Just wanted to clarify the AU doesn't know about Brockport thing. They do.

Thanks AUPepBand for the update on Julio. Haven't heard much around here. As you probably know, our high school team scrimmages his year after year and he and the boy were opposing RBs during those times. This has to be the nightmare that every football player wants to wake up from.

I'll be there this weekend, although I won't be attending any FDC parties in the circles. I get in late Friday night, tailgate and game on Saturday, and then leave again early Sunday morn. I'll also be there for Cortaca, obviously. I hope to make it to the circles that weekend.

Just want to throw something out there about Fisher history, before they joined division 3 they did have a good team winning 3 national championships. Maybe that is what the one poster meant? Most likely not but still it's something I think we can be slightly proud of, now if we can only do that at this level.

Also to clarify I am not in Fisher once sucked denial, for years there they got slapped around in a way I wouldn't even wish on King22. I'm just glad they turned things around because it has been a really fun ride.

Can't wait until Saturday!!

No angst here. Will probably go watch the "big" game this week in Rochester. Too far to travel to Springfield. Will enjoy watching 2 quality teams go at each other without worry of who wins.

Wow ive been away a couple days. looks like the alfred faithful are trying to stir things up! First my prediction in the E8 title game this weekend:

Fisher 28, Ithaca 24

If Fisher defense can hold Ithaca offense to 400 yards or less I think we win this one! That easier said than done though. Also Fisher WR's must make some grabs to make it easier on the R & R express. We might even see Hanson (3rd back for Fisher) some this weekend...he's a good runner that no one really knows about.

As for King, you don't really know much about football buddy. Your posts make you sound like a complete retard. Sorry but its true. Fisher is a rising program and Alfred beat St. Lawrence 17-14. Enough said about that.

My other predictions for this week:

Brockport 28 Frostburg 10
Springfield 28 Alfred 24
RPI 42 Hobart 35
Union 35 Rochester 28
Cortland 38 Buff State 10

Also, I just wanted to compliment both the Fisher and IC fans. I think the taunting between us is pretty fun! But when it comes down to it both programs have great respect for one another. Either team is capable of winning this game and it should be an absolute barn burner! Can't wait till this weekend. Go Fisher!
