In terms of coaching vs. desire.... DEFENSE won the game for Fisher. Juvan could do nothing when he was rushed, and little when he wasn't. Robinson's two big runs were a combination of great blocking and Robinson being awesome. I have to agree with Tecmo's evaluation of Reile and Kramer.

Jose, maybe Ravech was talking about intramural flag football... I heard that he did used to be the PA guy at basketball, though.

And he was also in Marty's US Politics class... Marty: "He has more hair now than he did then."

Intramural flag football started in Fall 2000.  First three champs had JoseQ on the roster.  I lead the league in unsportsmanlike penalties for touchdown dances.  In fact, I had to have a meeting with the Rec Sports Director about my celebrations.  I am so Chad Johnson.

Glad to see that the Fisher D stepped up...

Now Jose -- back to the Robinson being mediocre.........

I never said Robinson was mediocre...I said Meyers was mediocre and I stand by that.

That is true, he did say that.  No one said anything about Robinson not being a great back

fisheralum91

Hmmmm.
Maybe my memory is failing...sorry.

I did make an argument that it is unclear just how great a back Robinson is given all the success mediocre backs have had in Fisher's system.  But there is no doubt he is a great player.  I did ask the rhetorical question as to how much of his success is the direct result of his ability and how much is the result of their system.  Maybe this is what you were thinking of??

fisheralum91

that was it..
sorry for the goof.... :P

assume B-port beats IC and Fish but then losses to Springfield and Hartwick.  Fisher losses to Alfred... that results in a 3 way tie for the E8.  now what? do we go to a Friday Night Lights style with a coin flip? if so... WELCH USE THE '91 quarter!

It doesn't matter what Brockport does and if Springfield or Fisher lose to Brockport because its not a conference loss. Brockport's a Pool B contender for the NCAA playoffs (from the ACFC) and Ithaca and the rest of the Empire 8 are Pool A and Pool C. A three-way tie between Ithaca, Springfield and St. John Fisher is possible. Ithaca would need to beat Springfield and run the table in conference the rest of the season. Springfield would lose to Ithaca, but defeat St. John Fisher. And then Fisher has already defeated Ithaca.

Alfred, while not as good as last year, still has a good shot to play spoiler the final two weeks of the season. Is it possible? Maybe. I won't discount them but I think their chances of being part of the three-way tie atop the conference are slim to none.

Anyone remember the rules for a three team tie-breaker?
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

Does this also assume that Brockport is in the E8?

I remember it changed last year, as I posted the 3 way tie-breaker from the year before and Pat was very condescending in informing me of that.
