Trust me, I know,  I want to eventually become an NFL agent, but you need a masters or something to even apply to be an agent, but I  watch the draft every year, and this kid isn't even being predicted as a first round pick he's a second or third round pick likely so it will be a long night for the family,  but there was no rule breaking by my post, agents are allowed to talk to players, but not allowed to offer anything,  no I'm not paying for the Robinson's house (JUST KIDDING) like the guy did for Reggie Bush

Superman, While that is one way, Intern, Intern, Intern, it is not the only way.  I went to a marketing academy and had 9 interviews when I left. 

ER, I would love to give you the information for the academy I went.  I am in sales and marketing and thats what the academy trains.  They are highly reputable too.  Most teams have heard from them.  Let me know, I would love to help out, tell him not to go to far from home unless it is the right move though, 3000 miles is harsh

And I looked extensively into being an agent, even law school for a long time, may still give it a whirl but you start as a runner between athletes and agents and as I did my study on the industry, I just didn't wan to baby sit 18 year olds when 90% of the athletes are represented by 5% of the agents(around 1200 agents in NFL)  I love hard work but the odds are back breaking.  I'd rather work my way up to running a team

My majored in SPorts Management, and what every single team I have ever talked to said the majority of people they hire are former interns and the more experiance you have the better, but if your in Rochester why not take 3 or 4 evenings a week and go downtown and volunteer

Oh, I agree, the more experience the better and why not do that if you have something local.  It wasn't available to me in Ithaca, I took sports law not sports management, and I was lucky enough to go to the place I did.  Both are ways to get in, no arguement here

B27- thanks, he has already interned at Ch8 news, and that is probably the way to go with a com/journal degree-would love to have him stay in the ny area

also , did you notice how baez will jump in the air and clap after a good run, he will pump up the bombers!!!! just like the FDC!

But if he's really adept at pumping up the bombers, after a good first down run, he'd jump in the air, clap, grab a tuba and start the "Let's Go Blue!" cheer...just like the AUPepBand!! That would get EVERYONE pumped up! (Does he play the tuba?)

back at Ithaca we had a committee that would make "bias alerts" which would be posted all over campus whenever someone would write "you're a homo" on someone else's whiteboard.
