Hey guys,
Here is a quick article from the Utica OD giving props to some of the local connections to Fisher.

also , did you notice how baez will jump in the air and clap after a good run, he will pump up the bombers!!!! just like the FDC!

But if he's really adept at pumping up the bombers, after a good first down run, he'd jump in the air, clap, grab a tuba and start the "Let's Go Blue!" cheer...just like the AUPepBand!! That would get EVERYONE pumped up! (Does he play the tuba?)

Sounds like he can do it all....or are you just a little Baez-ed?

He is actually quite the Harmonica player... believe it or not.

Attention FDC:  The Ithacan is back in bash mode.

http://www.ithaca.edu/ithacan/articles/0609/28/opinion/4football_.htm

There is a good story on Baez and Donovan.  The writer makes an interesting comment worthy of further discussion.  Best backfield combination in Bomber History?  (Comment: I think the discussion would have to be split into two halves.  Best Butterfield combo and best Post-Butterfield combo given the style of offense Butterfield preferred).

Quickly off the top of my head and only considering the limited number of years I have first hand knowledge, I think the early frontrunner has to be either Nick Dibble/Tommy Giorgio/Ryan Carpenter or Dave Maddi/Tommy Giorgio.

JU: You will be good for this conversation...

Fumbled again and again????!!  Who is this guy?  Psychologist of somthing!

I know when the alumni a.k.a. supervisors of the FDC, hear such vulgar things they say shut up! and NO NO NO NO!.. The word that is being referred to as vulgar is Sucks!... I think JoseQ was there when we did this.  Basically we substituted the Cortland part of CORTLAND CORTLAND CORTLAND with HARTWICK HARTWICK HARTWICK!  Also, this guy must not have made the trip to Fisher when the FDC commended the Fish when they performed well and came away with the victory... boy, this really touched a nerve.  Mr. N... Flash... Lumpy... write a letter the Ithacan  :)

Go Bombers!

I don't remember FDC using that cheer when AU was at Butterfield last November. I do recall FDC using it back in Jesse Raynor's senior (or super senior) season--but only once. (Probably someone told FDC to shut up)

Some folks find the term offensive, even if it's not considered a four-letter word. I wouldn't get bent out of shape over it. Knowing FDC, it will collectively come up with  a much more clever cheer that is less offensive. Good assignment for your FDC head cheer writer--in consultation with your club psychologist and Baez Alert Committee, of course.

JoseQ was there.  Man, there is so much to be said about that letter.  In the end though, it just sounds like someone that doesn't like athletics or the culture that surrounds it.  That is his problem.  The FDC has really grown into a force.  It is a testament to tecmo, MIOH, MIYH, Dubbz and others.  The students have fun.  The fans have fun.  (The alumni have fun acting like students).  The players have fun.  No one gets hurt.  Sounds like a good thing to me.

what can i say guys...

Not to harp on this issue of how appropriate or inappropriate the FDC (or college fans in general) are, but I think it deserves more discussion.  First, it is interesting that the complaints are usually lodged by other fans.  If something inappropriate is said to a player (and all the ex-players in this room--including JoseQ--have a story of the most ridiculous thing a fan ever said to them) and it doesn't bother the player, then maybe other fans should let it slide as well.  Second, it seems that this is discussed much more in the small college context.  I have two theories on why that is.  (1) When there are only 2,000 fans at a game, you can hear what specific people say much more clearly (in contrast to the total inability to hear what specific fans say when 100,000 people are shoe-horned into Florida Field) (2) Big time athletic programs are more used to die-hard fans on both sides and, thus, expect at least a few fans to get out of hand.  I don't think it is unreasonable to give college kids at IC the same leeway we give college kids at UF.  When they step out of line, the boys bring them back.

How come fullbacks are left out of the best backfields of all time?  They had to have someone blocking for them

bomber27

Lumpy, are fullbacks the middle child of the backfield?  The red headed stepshild if I may

fisheralum91

Jose speaking in the third person...
Fisheralum would never do that....

Sorry 27.  Mike Rumbutis did do an outstanding job clearing the way for those tandems I mentioned.
