SO Ithaca fans saying cortland would beat Fisher means Ithaca could be looking at least 2 loses this year and possibly more

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

I wonder how long our 3-4 lasts if we get another whipping like saturday- my opinion like previous posts is that we look good on defense against weak teams

After about two or three weeks of the season I was thinking that there were at least 4 games on our schedule that were somewhere between a strong opponent and a loss.

After we played Hartwick I was thinking:

1.  Fisher plays us tough because it is there but we escape with a late score that makes it look like we beat them worse than we did.

2. Brockport gives us all we can handle but we squeak one out.

3. Springfield pushes us real far but Butterfield is worth the differene.

4. If we look past Alfred and don't come to play, they can beat us, but not otherwise.

5. If we aren't perfect at Cortland we lose.

Now, after the Fisher game I think:

2. 'Port is good but has three big games after us and looks beyond.  We have backs to the wall so we play like it is a playoff game.

3. Springfield only beating Alfred by 7 at their place can mean a lot of different things.  I still think the grass at Butterfield slows them enough for us to beat them.  They haven't won in Ithaca in quite a while.

4. Alfred game is the same as before.  Especially since we could be mathematically eliminated from the auto bid by the time we get there.  That could lead to complacency.

5. Being an even bigger underdog in this game is now giving me solace as the 'dog has won all but one of the recent meetings (when we trounced them the last time it was at their place).

I think 2+ losses is certainly a possibility.  Hopefully the boys see that as well and stay focused for the duration.

cortland beat fisher?? i honestly don't think so but thats my opinion.  Fisher is too strong and balanced on both sides of the ball.  Plus, they have proven that they can shut down a good option based attack (springfield in '04 and '05, Cortland in '03).  I know Cortland is a very good team and I do admit that it would be a close game.  I say Fisher and Cortland are the 2nd and 3rd best teams in the region behind Rowan.  I really think this is Fisher's year to do alot of damage in the NCAA's.  They are very experienced and have plenty of talent.  My prediction on homecoming weekend:

Fisher 49 Hartwick 21

Also, IC beats Brockport in a close game.  I just think IC has to win this game and they are too good not too.

I don't think Chattanooga is boring at all. If this kid was staying in his dorm every weekend he obviously just had 3 crappy friends. Having been to Ithaca a few times I'd say they are pretty even college towns (although Ithaca may have more football fans than the Mocs)

Personnel influenced this decision as much as anything.  We have a lot of good LBs and are sort of thin at DL.  We aren't coming out of the 3-4 this season I wouldn't imagine.  If we were even considering it, you would think it would have happened some in the second half at Fisher.

i think the boys come to play tommorrrow...no doubt in my mind.  No way the IC defense is having another performance like they did last week.  My roomates said practice felt like a playoff week, no monkey business.  Bombers by 17

Sounds like Reile may have a chance to prove himself as a #1 back next year if the D&C was right this morning:

"Just the fact that it's an NFL team is real exciting," says tailback James Reile, a senior academically but a junior athletically.

I think every Bomber fan knows that a Cortland loss is possible.

I think every Bomber fan knows a loss is possible to:

Cortland
Brockport
Springfield (maybe)

The Fisher game was a wake-up call.
