Last time I checked "MAX" we're not in the business of getting people on our bandwagon, the most hated fans in the world are yankee fans (which I am not one of) and they're hated because their team wins games.... amongst other reasons... but mostly because they win games..

And am I ignorant because I'm slinging a little mudd at our biggest rival? Maybe, but I'm competant enough to know what I say on a D3 post board holds as much merit as my first middle school girlfriend....which didn't even happen, but not having a woman is nothing new to this post board, right RPI?

"snuck by" doesn't reflect the game played as much as it reflects my stubborness that my team is still superior and will reign supreme once again, does anyone pick up sarcasm on this board or are you still holding out hope what you write will be picked up by The New York Times?

I will agree on Go Bills though, I met many members of the Losman family at the Billsbackers bar I was at this weekend, nice people, and their boy might just have a future...

Making fun of someone because they can't afford to go to a particular school is never cool Bombsaway, I'm sorry. Bills fan to Bills fan. I love slinging mud at Cortland but not that way.

I AM a Yankees fan, and I agree with your assessment of why they are hated. But poking fun at small market major league teams ain't the same thing.

On to a better topic, I also would like another shot at Fisher. We now know that the defense can't just stuff the box against the R & R, and Juvan is looking better every week. A matchup with Fisher where Juvan is clicking with Gordon and Bostic, Baez is getting his share of touches, and Blumenauer and Stephens are patrolling the secondary? That's a matchup I want to see.

PS- I know spelling on this board is a crapshoot, but for words like "competent" it really really really looks bad to spell them wrong.

The most hated fans in the world are probably Manchester United fans. The most hated fans in baseball (at least by people that work in and around Major League Baseball) are Red Sox fans.

Q, love the butterfield Icon. He is just that. Alot is being made of all this cortland stuff but does anyone else find it slightly wierd that it is between bomber fans. Now, i know we are talking about other things than hating them (I am a red sox fan, how can you hate a team that just loses baby?) but why between each other. Seems no one really like the bombers but us so stick together. Oh, and kharma point for the light saber swinging Q for corny scrolling text reference

B27- Being a Yankee fan, I often find myself embarrassed when fellow fans say stupid things. (i.e. Scott Brosius is a "true Yankee" while Mike Mussina is not, or saying "true yankee" at all, anytime). That's how I feel when bombsaway says.... anything. Just a plea to the rest of the E8 that we're not ALL like that.

I think the LL might have a postseason edge head up vs the E8

Union beat IC in 05
RPI beat SJF in 05 (ECAC)
RPI beat IC in 03
RPI beat Springfield in 03 (were they FFC back then?)
Hobart beat Norwich in 03 (ECAC)
IC beat RPI in 01
Union beat Hartwick in 01 (ECAC)
Union beat IC in some ECAC game that "nobody at IC wanted to play, waaaaah".

and for what it's worth Hobart beat Cortland in 05.

There may be other matchups but that's all I know. that's recent history... if you go any further back (like IC's last championship) then 'gro was perfecting his hammer dancing in the mirror getting ready for that middle school dance. Not that it doesn't count, just doesn't count for me.

I beg to differ. I have always been impressed with the way the Bombers approach every season.....Expecting to win.....playing all challengers.....and with a goal of making the NCAA's and going deep into the tournament.

Last year when I watched IC at Union, I was equally impressed with IC's size, toughness and execution. However, I observed two shortcomings to IC on that day, and I suspect that they were also evident vs SJF a week ago. IC ran out of gas and they lack overall team speed, particularly on defense. If IC is going to get back to the promised land, they need to be able to play 4 quarters against good football teams and they need to get much faster.

Ithaca is a great program, with a wonderful football history, but if you want to know what it takes to win the East, watch Rowan or Cortland's defenses fly around to the football and make plays.
