That was fun when all the LL guys came on earlier, more interesting than the pure intra-conference stuff. What does anyone (including Pat) think of the idea for an E8/LL/NJAC board or something like that? That would be a hell of a time.

I think Pat is done adding boards for a while. Lemme just look and see if that is covered in the FAQ before I commit to anything though.

I know you missed me, because as we all know, the only way to really cause intrigue, is to have a hero, and a villian, and since you all seem to be on some candy-a$$ love and make nice fest, I must play the role of the bad guy.  A role I'm willing to play for the benefit of this message board.  Yeah, I know, it's not a benefit, you've made that quite clear gentlemen..

You want to know the way I see it? Of course you don't, but here goes anyways.. I know some  of you have, and I respect that, but a lot of the  people on this message board never played a down for the bombers, or SJF, or RPI or anyone at all.  It doesn't sit well with me when people get on these boards and talk about how a 19 year old kid "isn't coming around" or an offensive line "isn't getting the job done" when they have never suited up for one of these games.  These D3 kids are the only pure athletes left on the planet.  They don't play for scholarships, they don't play for pro contracts, they play because they love to play.  They make a sacrifice I , and most of you, didn't make.  I was lucky enough to cover these athletes as a member of student media and I thank them for that.  But I'm not going to get up on a soapbox and criticize and second guess on why certain coaches are making mistakes, how this teams running back isn't as good as the guy that use to be on the team etc. etc.  I have not earned that right, and these kids certainly don't deserve it.

I am a fan, that's as far as my expertise goes, so while you consider my comments  immature, inappropriate, and completely detrimental to the "quality of the board" it is nevertheless , what I know best, and while that may equal to knowing  absolutely nothing, at least I can admit that, unlike any of you who judge and criticize from a third party position.  I bleed gold and blue, best 4 years of my life, and I have pride in my school, that's my motivation but at the core, I'm a football fan, not an expert, and I will behave and talk using the freedoms that such an individual is granted. 

With that said, I will resume my position as the guy we all hope bruce willis blows up at the end of the movie... bombsaway!

Come on guys, being a sports fan isn't about following your team and developing opinions because you want them to always be doing better than they are! Being a sports fan is about.... is about.... well, it's about SOMETHING, maybe bombsaway can tell us when he posts again.

And none of us have the right to question a coaching or football decision by people we watch every week, but you can question a financial or educational decision made by someone you've never met? Come on bombsaway, you were (are?) a journalist! Consistency!

And God bless all those poor D3 athletes... who never received a favor or even a shoe shine from their respective schools! Also apparantly Albert Pujols hates playing baseball, he just does it for the money. If it was up to him, he'd be a drill bit manufacturer in his native Dominican Republic.

I think all of us here love D3 football for what it is. If no one got on a message board and talked about how a 19-year-old kid wasn't coming around, that would mean fewer fans coming to games, which, since you went to Ithaca, you know is already a problem. We're getting involved at a level few others do. I'll bet the athletes appreciate it (they sure seem to love the FDC), wouldn't you? No matter how much they love the game, playing for people is more fun than not.

Boobs my point is not so much to disagree with those that do second guess as it was to offer an explaination of why I don't get into that, and instead choose to be a "stupid" fan and rile up the competition.  Don't take it out on me if you fit the description of what I mentioned, maybe you do, maybe you don't, I don't know you.

Max, I'm not a jounalist, and unlike people like yourself, I don't pretend to be.  When you declare yourself a "fan" of a particular team, you open yourself up for ridicule of the inconsistent nature.  Red Sox yell "yankees suck" do they suck historically? No. More championships than anyone.  So yeah, I can ride a kid for going to a state school because it's banter and nonsense.  And for your information, you seem to think Im attacking cortland kids for being poor and that it's not nice to do so.  I take those shots because it's a historical heckle passed on, you assuming kids at cortland are poor is your own, incorrect stereotype.  Just because you go to Ithaca doesn't mean you're rich either.  Most of us pay loans for the next 20 years to go there.  You want to break down the validity of chants and taunts we'll be here all night pal.

I'm glad I ignited this senate run, but Max you must know that in politics, people might dig up stuff on you that's not very nice and "non-P.C." I know you hate that.  And maybe you should get Jesse Jackson as your running mate, rumor has it you like to call out racists!
