Dubbz, the senior year mrs. b27 is one we don't speak of anymore.  She went back to the depths of hell.  This is a new Mrs. b27, not from hell of course.

John Maine has the tools but hasn't put it together yet.

Looks like Duque is going to give it a try today...

The Mets better be ready to put up 10 runs or so....just in case.

Maine is getting the start, Duque is on the shelf

First Pedro Martinez, now Orlando Hernandez.

The Mets lost a second starting pitcher as the postseason starts as El Duque was left off the roster with a torn calf muscle. John Maine will get the start for New York in Game 1 Wednesday afternoon against the Dodgers. Oliver Perez will take Hernandez's spot in the Mets' postseason rotation.

Hernandez felt discomfort in his right leg while he was jogging in the outfield Tuesday and was pulled off the field and went for an MRI exam, which diagnosed the tear.

hey flash is there any possible way we can send a warning to Greece? international relations could be strained after 99 spends any substantial amount of time over there....thanks for the beer offer......if you ever travel down with your son you should stop into the bar/restaurant i work at.....a lil pricey but 125 beers on the list...mothers milk on tap!......my drinking before cortaca will be limited due to my duties at the game......i wont reveal the secret ye...ill let you find out by yourself.......i am greatly anticipating a cortaca matchup between #83 and our brand new starting corner......ill let you do the research

bomber27

Gordon vs rookie corner....who wins.....Da gordon

cstate19

nope....see i said research b27......i expected better....D1-AA transfer and cstates housemate....im a big fan of 83 but we will see

bomber27

Cstate19, you forget one thing from our beautiful comments last year, I love my team as you love yours.  Just because he is a transfer from a higher level does not mean I conceed to him.  Its like saying, sports illustrated said Joey Porter is the most feared man in the nfl, lets fall tothe ground when he comes to tackled us.  It is all a matter of opinion and speculation until they face each other.  I have seen some guys that transfer and look great in a jersey but couldn't guard byers on a go route(very speedy for 3 bills) hey, we have some time till the game and we will see then.  For now I'll stick with my guy.  Oh, and research, come on, what am I gonna look at, game films of him shutting out some clown from College of NJ

So I decided to rate each school in the e8 by overall athletics let me know what you think

1) Ithaca-too good in to many sports
2)Fisher-getting to be competitive in all sports and dominant in the money sports
3)naz- very good in the sports nobody cares about very bad in the ones we do care about
4)Alfred-a rising power in the e8 soon to be a school to be reckoned with
5)RIT-good not great
6)Utica-again same as rit
7)Hartwick-shares the basement with Elmira in the sports we care about
8)Elmira-a joke who should be kicked out of the league in favor of a better team

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

What do you consider the "money sports"?

tecmobowler

Hey Jose-

My Cubs sources (and a guy who is close with the Marlins organization) keep hearing Pinella's name in the discussions of who will captain my lovable losers.  My initial feeling upon hearing that was panic.  Any insight on Sweet Lou you'd care to share?
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

Superman, your avatar is a couple weeks late.

Also, if you want to go by the latest Director's Cup poll, which rates schools in each Division nationwide on overall athletic performance, based (I think) on postseason appearances/performance, you get Ithaca clocking in at 26th in the nation, the next E8 school is Naz at 96th, and the list ends at 100.

Fisher's basketball program is great. So is the football program. But "dominant" in the money sports? Fisher is coming off a 4-2 season in the Empire 8. They are 5-0, 2-0 this season... congratulations. Half a great season does not a dominant team make. Also, I don't know if you consider baseball or lacrosse money sports, but Fisher sucks at baseball and lacrosse.

RIT has a very good lacrosse team, baseball team, and volleyball team, and if the E8 had hockey... well I guess that's not an issue. I'd put them ahead of Alfred with Fisher slightly ahead of RIT though. All sports being equal, Fisher can't compete with Naz just yet, this is a guy that has watched too many women's lacrosse and volleyball games in his tenure at IC to let that one slip. All sports NOT being equal, I'll give the edge to Fisher.

s57 Naz has got to be #2....too good in Lax (M+W), Soccer M+W, and holds their own the rest of the way..... and if we're looking at "money sports" RIT jumps up because they are the only one on the list rockin D-1 and scholarships.  I think RIT jumps up too...but thats mainly because I loved watchin papa mcvean on the sidelines

money sports are the sports you have to pay to see, I.E. Football, Basketball and if we had it Hockey

I think you have to pay to see all the sports now... at least at IC. And I have never paid for a football game at IC OR Fisher.
