Going into Brockport thinking the game would be close without Lynch was kind of like going into Fisher thinking the game would be close without Blumenauer or Stephens or Baez. I agree with Jose, although if Fisher's defense plays like they did against IC, they could probably still win if Lynch is on the field. If he isn't, they will eat Brockport alive.

Sometimes I feel bad when we get away from football over here... and then I go to the LL board. Holy crap, you ever wonder how they got to 1000 pages, it's by talking about women and beer for like 800 of them.

And ONE more thing... I was just directed to this quote in this morning's Utica OD:

Quote"They're the scariest team on our schedule," [Utica football coach Mike]
Kemp said of the [Mount Ida] Mustangs, who are coming off a 13-12 win
over Husson."

Booga Booga Booga Booga! Is it Halloween soon, or is that MOUNT IDA in the distance?

Oh, wait, it's halloween soon.

So nobody has really mentioned the Fisher game this weekend against Brockport.  I know Brockport kept it close against Cortland who many seem to think is better than Fisher, so how will they fair againt the Cardinals?  I know everybody talks about their line and how big they are, but are there any other X factors that could decide this game?

If you read my column this week... http://www.d3football.com/aroundtheregion/east/2006/Sorting+out+contenders+and+pretenders      you'll see why at least one reason why not many are talking about B'port-Fisher. Personally, I don't think Brockport is that great this season.

budcrew,

this may sound incredibly weird coming from me. but if you dont think brockport is that strong how do you justify ranking cortland ahead of rowan??

theicdubbz

Rowan is the king of the east... until they are dethrowned they should remain there.  but, if cortland is as good as everyone says then they should be the ones capable of doin it.

You want to talk about serious softball, last year in the Prime Time Softball league, I think we were playing CSI , and we had two bench clearing scuffles, and we represent a kids network! Not to mention it was a co-ed league!  They take their softball seriously around here...and I echo your frustration b27, there are a lot of aging ball players who won't let go and see they don't have it anymore..

Tecmo, i think you went a little easy on that guy.  I didn't realize they changed the ooga booga  chant, that fires me up too.  These PC bleeding hearts are always trying to ruin a good thing on that campus, fountain day, prospect block party, installing blue phones..... and yellowhat, I love the ithaca protest references, can't beat a good die-in.  The SOB's almost sent my over priced pub lunch to the ground multiple times by laying all over the ground and making us step over them.. .. It's things like that which led to LOT's protest at the student gov. meeting in which they voted to send a letter to the white house saying the whole campus was against the war (security was called when the "I like Oil" signs came out)

As for the rogan's dilema, the initial late night article on the ithacan's website said more details to come but no plans to reopen had been made, hopefully that has changed.

Glad to see you back posting BudCrew.  Nice job on the column thus far.  You have generated a lot of debate...especially surrounding your top ten.  My favorite part is all the Rowan people crying on the NJAC board about Rowan getting no respect.  Now they know how we feel after suffering through a few years of paragraph upon paragraph describing the pregame meal in the Rowan press box back when the RowanFootballGivesMeWood.com writer did the column.

good one jose.......but even you have to agree rowand should still be #1

I have said so any number of times.  I am merely commenting on the fact that the Around the East column used all its space on Rowan the last few years and then would drop a line the last paragraph that said "Apparently, it has been brought to the author's attention that there are other, non-Rowan, teams in the East.  The author thinks this is probably not true but will investigate and report back next week."

The change of fortunes strikes me as ironic.

Budcrew, you should profile Wesley next week.  I also know nothing about them.  Well, I know more than Maxpower but, that is about par for the course on this topic.
