Last Friday one of the partners in my firm took a few associates up to the private club in our building for a few drinks. This place is really nice but also a little, well lets say stiff (Coat required). Anyway, I ordered Jim Beam. The partner at my firm, who is a really cool guy, said "Son, I think you are a little too old to be drinking that kind of bourbon. It's time to move on to something that costs more than $8 a handle."

That would feel like cheating. I only share Bomber shots with FDCers. In fact, I am looking forward to my next Bomber shot which will take place in the parking lot before the Bombers' first playoff game this fall. I am also looking forward to the Bomber Shot after that, which will take place in a parking lot in Salem, Va.

I actually do like scotch but, being American by birth and Southern by the grace of god = an affinity to Bourbon.

As a scotsman, i will NEVER tell you which scotch to drink.....too subjective... yet i will tell you that a true scotsman 1) never EVER drinks blended scotch, and 2)mixes scotch with ANYTHING besides ice or water.

That being said...Balvenie double wood is outstanding!
