The jv season is over, thank goodness.  The varsity has a tournament tomorrow and I'll help out with that.  It's amazing the difference between the varsity and jv level here.  These girls can turn double plays, the infield fly rule is called, and they can smoke the ball.  Meanwhile, I'm wishing for the jv kids to make contact.

They had a couple episodes on adult swim a few months back.  Not sure if they're still doing it, but before they would cut to commercial they would show a clip from the show in slow motion and distorted color.  I definitely lol'd when this episode was aired and she was freaking out in slow mo.

My SR year, jug '03, that little kid in the pep band got one hell of an education in vocabulary, anatomy, sociology, and pyschology, because he was next to me the whoooole game and I was a little too buzzed to curb the language for him... I mean he was going to hear those things eventually, no need to keep him in the dark..

I have to believe Bob Boozer and Chugger Davis were good friends who really knew how to paint the town red.  What I wouldn't give to be part of that social circle, couple of real what-have-you's just gettin' after it on the weekends, god bless 'em!

As for beer, there's two things I miss about the east 1) chicken wings 2) canadian beer... some places will have labbat blue if you look hard enough, but no molson anywhere anda great hollywood sports bar that had blue on tap, just discontinued it, petition is forth coming...

To me, when the Jug is at Butterfield it is no contest.  For the forseeable future it is just going to be one weekend a year for me (sounds like for you too).  I would say, Jug years when it is at home, Homecoming years Jug is in that bandbox up the road.
