Can anyone give me a rundown on how Ithaca drops down one in the ranks when beating brockport 26 to 7, but SJF moves up one with a 27 to 20 score. Could it be the Arrogance of the Ithaca posters that's giving a lot people a sour taste

I don't know, I kind of like "choke on a brick."
Perhaps this calls for a little comic relief?

"Choke on a brick" reminds me of the Alfred Sun's true claim to fame as infamous winner of the New York Press Association's "Blooper of the Year."

Seems there was a story in the local rag about the downtown streetscape project acknowledging the dedication of all the volunteers who had laid the brick pavers, forming the new sidewalks. It read something like this:

"Through rain and sun and wind, 75 volunteers lay brick pavers in three three-hour shifts (with the "f" missing)..."

Talk about shifting bricks!

For the 14th time this year, the rankings mean nothing.  I can't fathom why anyone cares.

Fisher-Ithaca wasn't so close because fisher just has more talent than the bombers now plain and simple.  Bomberfans might as well get used to it too cause i doubt you'll beat fisher next year or make the playoffs this year either.  sorry but someone has to stick up for the cardinals on here and its gonna be me. no offense ithaca fans

Perhaps, you're right.  Someone will have to show the ability to score points with your superstar gone though.

Ok so since I cant followthe 9 pages a day the E8 people put out.........can someone give me a rundown of how the brockport fisher game was so close?

BPort-Fisher was apparently so close because Reile and Robinson's fathers have thinner skin than Ryan Leaf.  Any relation to you boys?

Apparantly! Wow!   As for the polls, fisher moved up while Ithaca went down in their respective wins against Brockport mainly due to other things that happened with the teams that are  in the top 25.  You know, the #10 team losing, the #5 team losing...

Man oh man I come back and there is all this hating going on? Things were going so well, what happened there?

So are you implying that this is a poll that ranks teams based on fan interaction in post rooms? Wow, that's a poll I'd really value if I were a Fisher fan. Sorry, Winmag, I think the voters have better things to do than keep diaries about which fans are the most arrogant and then vote accordingly. In fact, I still see that Rowan is ranked, so that can't be the case.

A) Ironically, the number of wins Fisher has at Butterfield Stadium is equal to the number of national championships St. John Fisher owns.

B) I like our chances at Butterfield without Mark Robinson on your team. No offense to Reile, Reile's parents, Reile's third cousins, the Reile family dog, or the next door neighbors of Reile, of course. He just hasn't done a whole lot against Ithaca.

C) Juvan and all the WR's will be a year older. We'll have to replace Baez and Donovan, but Ithaca churns out RB's. I'm not worried.

D) Ok, I have to say this. You guys dominated ONE HALF of football. Coincidentally, that one half came directly subsequent to the half that Ithaca handed it to you. It just so happens that Ithaca follied away anywhere between 10-17 points in that half. I've heard estimates that Ithaca could have had as many as 24 or 27 points in that first half.

All the Fisher fans are talking like the second half of that game is so much more indicative of where these two teams are at. Whose to say that the first half wasn't more of an indicator. It just so happens that Fisher made the most of their opportunities on that particular day. I'm not saying Fisher didn't deserve to win, because they did. The point is, however, I don't think any Fisher fan...let me rephrase, any RATIONAL Fisher fan, truly thinks that Fisher is 34 points in one half better than Ithaca.

E) With all due respect, Fisheralum05, before you start running your mouth about how we Ithaca fans should get used to Fisher being more talented than us, let your football team become more than every-other-year contenders. I wouldn't bet the house that you guys will see the NCAA's next year with visits to Ithaca and Springfield on the horizon. Then again, maybe the fact that you play one moderately difficult non-conference game a year will help you in the long run. (This is a preemptive "don't even mention UR as a difficult non-conference game disclaimer)

F) I'd love to see Fisher/Ithaca in the playoffs.

G) I'm done with my alphabetized list.

And I think I lost Karma for making a valid point.  Sounds about right.

I think both programs are doing well this year, I think the FDC was impressive at the Fisher game for actually being louder than the thousands of Fisher supporters in attendance.  I'm thinking Fisher has a chance to run the table this year which would be sweet to see.  More from the pondering mind of booby to come......

I lost karma as well, didn't really say anything offensive.  Somebody out there is being especially kind tonight.

Also, As being a fan of the team that lost to Both Fisher and Ithaca, I would say that yes, both are impressive programs.

Brockport-Fisher was 27-6 midway through the third quarter and then fisher kind of stalled out a bit.  First time i saw that this year except during first half of Ithaca game.  Brockport fought back to make the score 27-20 and had the ball on the fisher 10 yard line with a chance to tie it but didn't convert.  This is why port-fisher was so close.

Can't a guy leave the room for an hour or so and have the rest of you just "get along".....???

I have a suggestion  or two...maybe more

fisheralum05...keep stirring the pot.....your banter is entertaining...not very sensible, but entertaining!

To the Fisher " Dads" you guys know how valuable your sons are to the squad.....you are NEVER going to sell that on SOUTH HILL.....let it go

booby....YOU still seem to be the most unbiased poster on here from SJF....

Anybody complaining about the FDC as a whole might have some envy in their hearts...they are not perfect, but they take care of their own problems....wish some of the adults and coaches I've seen in d3 would do the same.....

The FDC IS The Twelfth Man at Butterfield

Regarding football....sounds like Fisher held on, IC triumphed......and let's get ready for next week....
