Cortland never blows anyone out.....ever.......not condusive to their style of play........heres rational ground.......a win is a win.....we have no losses you have 1........im am not saying either way who is a better team.....all im saying is at this point cortland HAS TO be ranked higher.....like i said rankings mean nothing........but if your gonna do em at least do em right..........and as far as A played B and beat C and all that nonsense........that means nothing.....

If you find common opponents irrelevant how can you find record relevant?

The scenario I posed was not A playing B playing C.  It was BOTH A and B playing C.

So you are saying, a team that is 5-0 after beating Husson, Mount Ida, Hamilton, Hartwick and Norwich HAS TO be ranked higher than a team that is 4-1 that has beaten Cortland, Rowan, Fisher, Ithaca and lost to Mount Union?  Under that scenario a win would be a win...right?  Your argument fails because it is colored by your desire for Cortland to be ranked higher.

I think Cortland is a better team but, I am saying there is a rational basis for the rankings to look as they do.

and one more post to avoid that number sitting next to my name.

No Im basing it on the fact the best player for Brockport didnt play........Fisher beat IC Brockport played Fisher Tough........its an endless pointless circle........Cortland is 5-0 playing similiar teams and IC is 4-1........thats all

RE: the question about who made the poll that was a few pages pack. It was me. I was going to make a fourth option pertaining to the Fisher webmaster but I think that would have skewed the results as everyone would have voted for that option. Right now, it looks like a lot of people think Fisher are going to stumble before the end of the regular season.

Considering we have five consistent Fisher posters (Booby, Superman, FA91, OriginalUpstate, FA05), I wonder who selected undefeated. It's ok guys, this is America, you don't have to disclose your vote. BTW, did anyone see Frank Rossi's comment last night in the LL room (p.1059, I believe) about how Springfield is going to run the table? I think it's somewhat ridiculous considering they haven't played a really tough game off their home turf yet and still have road games against Fisher and Ithaca.

I voted 1 loss...

Both these teams are playing well, Springfields option is running on all cylinders and AU's Keeley is throwing "Darts" all over the field.

SJF is playing lights out as well so im not exactly saying they wont, but its extremely difficult to run the table.

Taken from the Rochester D&C:

Good omen? The Ithaca football team is idle this week, marking the program's first week off during the season since 1991. That year, the Bombers took a week off between beating Buffalo State 41-23 and topping Cortland 23-14 en route to their third NCAA Division III title.

"Kummelweck is commonly shortened to "weck," and often served in the Buffalo metropolitan area with roast beef and horseradish to form a sandwich known colloquially as "beef on weck." Along with buffalo wings and the garbage plate, beef on weck is one of the three most distinct dishes of the region."
