Saxon, no one is robbing you of your excitement (BTW if D3football is the most exciting thing you got going, it's time to rearrange your priorities) however, debating whether IC is a better team than Fisher or IC is better than cortland is a meaningless debate.  It has nothing to do with weekly play, as a matter of fact debating the IC/fisher game or drawing comparisons to it, is living in the past and while Walter Sopchek of The Big Lebowski may disagree, ("3,000 years of beautiful tradition from Moses to Sandy Kofax, you're GD right I'm living in the F-ing past") it is stupid to do so. 

As for the jug game, throw it all out the window and see who is better when the clock hits goose-egg.  Records, common opponents, margin of victory, all meaningless... and yes, no matter what, which ever team wins the game, IC is still better.  That will never change.

As long as we are on the board,  I have spoken to some of the Ass't coaches at AU to get down to that school in PA for recruiting.  If you recall, my daughter is DrumMajor of the Marching Band (which has as many trophys as the football team) and she will be "mentioning" AU to some of these All State small school atheletes.

Keep the recruiting going.

It seems to me she'd get as much travel with AU Pep Band! Seems like the band has been hitting the road all season...in fact, with sufficient funds and numbers of band members wanting to go, AU Pep Band would be flying to Bangor, ME for the AU-Husson game this Saterday. Not sure yet whether that will happen.

But after the Husson game, AU will settle into the friendly confines of Merrill Field for three consecutive games with plenty of playoff implications...for all! A Saxon nine-game win streak at Merrill will definitely be challenged.

P.S. Too bad AU Pep Band doesn't have some band scholarships! Can only promise a Pep Band t-shirt, an AU Pep Bandana and credit at the concession stand at halftime of home games.

I don't know how she could pass up the opportunity of the PepBand but being near home with significant financial offerings already for her grades, it appears the tide barely favored Penn State despite Dad's efforts for AU.

A lot of people have posted recently about how it's meaningless to try and discuss who is better and who is the real deal, all that matters is the results on Saterday. Now, that's true, but discussing who is better and the real deal and all that is... I don't know.... fun? Isn't that why all of us are on this board in the first place? Shooting down arguments on a message board because they are meaningless is like refusing to talk trades because "there are more important things than fantasy football." F that, it's just fun!

I'm watching the Mets game and whining about there being two inches of snow on the ground.  Glad I'm not in Buffalo, but we're not supposed to get a lot of snow here, especially in October.
