Dubbz,

With no kicking game, how do you get 21 or 17?

Alfred Sun D-III College Forecast
Upstate New York -- Saturday, Oct. 21

*Ithaca   48   Utica   14
Springfield   41   *St. John Fisher   38

How accurate have they been throughout the year?  because this would be AWESOME!!

As best as AU Pep Band can figure, in six weeks of the Alfred Sun Forecast, they are right around 55-11, good for about 83%. Not too bad for a little weekly newspaper trying to carry on a tradition without help of the once highly esteemed Harmon Forecast that appeared in the paper for years.
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!

21 is with 3 touchdowns assuming they make the EPs.  the 17 is two touchdowns and a FG.

SJF's kicker didnt seem that bad.  Springs i dont know about...

I would assume they have one.  :)

Having one and trusting one are two different things Dubbz

Max, I was a rushing defenseman until I went to prep school and they made me a center.

Lineback, you still lurking out there?  Thoughts on the Club Quarters Hotel on Wacker?

I had a dream last night that I was watching an IC football game and they were up 28-20. I thought they were playing Springfield, so I was pumped, but then I realized it was a week earlier and they were playing Utica, so I got pretty nervous.

Hopefully this won't come true.

so tickets on EBAY should be popping up around Nov. 1 for $25 a piece.

All we know is that he is Springfield's QB.  Even a decent athlete turns out good numbers in that system.  He is probably an above average athlete to put out such great numbers.  But, he still has the real defense in the E8 to contend with so, we will know more then.

I will say this though, his high school alma mater has been known to produce memorable E8 athletes such as:

And all this Saxon blue is making my stomach turn. Where's the night shift?

Saxon Blue?!?  We wear the purple and gold (which "proclaims Alfred's royalty).  You must be thinking of the OTHER school in town, who are the Pioneers even though their school started 72 years after AU.  So, I'm not entirely sure what they're the Pioneers of, but they pay my bills and for that I'm grateful!
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

Thanks Jose -

I'll be at the game this weekend so we'll see how he does against a fairly decent defense. I'm anxious to see him go up against Ithaca also. Saw them at Fisher & they can be a very tough defense, as evidenced in the first half of that one.

Great to see a new name on here.

Jose- Please tell me that Lou will turn around the Cubs franchise.  Pleeeeeease?
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

You get +k for pimping IC's defense (I am assuming Mr. N. will match my karma award as well) but, I think you are being awfully generous there.  On their best day they are streaky.

I think SJF's turf field may negate some of their home field advantage given the Pride's speed and chosen method of attack.  Someone raised the FieldTurf argument earlier but, I think it is still way faster than natural grass...especially natural grass in upstate New York this time of year.

Here's hoping the Bombers leave the mower in the garage until the SC bus is pulling out of town.  No reason to cut the grass until after the final gun goes off in that way.

It wouldn't be the first losing team he has turned around (Cincy and Seattle) and it wouldn't be the first losing team he didn't turn around (TB- Although, we were certainly headed the right way when he had his falling out with management).  I think they make a dramatic turn around if they bring in "Lou" guys (ie, players that can bunt, run, and are gritty as hell).  If they keep what they have, he is going to let some F-Bombs fly this summer.
