So -K to you....

A real WNYer?! It doesn't get any more real than Rochester baby....

I've always had this debate with the Rochester kids, Im from WNY then I move to this retarded place called Rochester.  This my friends is NOT the real WNY....

What do the newspapers call their football all star teams?

Rochester- The All Greater Rochester Team

Buffalo- THE All WESTERN NEW YORK TEAM

Rochester is the middle child of the "Up State" region, their not the Western part and their not quite the Central part....

Maybe thats why their Political leaders are doing stupid things to get attention, ie. the "Fast" Ferry.....

Upstate...have to agree....."WNY" ends about ...Medina......everything else is Central NY.....

...and I gotta tell ya...we Love Roch-cha-cha..... even if the Ferry is a bust......

Just stay out of the city at night......except for the Alexander-East Ave, St. Paul sections.....

From the weekly blog......can anybody substantiate this scheduled game with Mt. Union - Fisher in "08????

SJFF82 Says:

The 17th of October, 2006 at 5:08 pm

Last week I got 'blasted' for living in the past by bringing up the '04 DEL-VAL-FISHER play-off game, so now I will 'live' in the future... Fisher has scheduled Mt. Union week one in '08 at Mt. Union...so that takes care of any speculation about who Mt. Union might schedule out of conf in '08.

HA, I used to work there over the summers while in college.....

The "New" boat house is owned by some rich dude that owns some trademark on the Beanie Babies, he's a huge football fan though.  If your a Big Ten fan you might remember his last name: Massey.  He's got 3 nephews that have played for Ohio St and Michigan, and one is still playing i think.

Also the city isnt that bad its the area around the city that's ****ty.  North Clinton, Clifford, Conkey, Avenue D and then the Genessee district is where you really want to stay out of....

My wife's parents had a sailboat out of Wilson Harbor....man those summers were the best. I haven't been back in years, but I hear it's pretty commercial now....

Wow, and to complete the Niagara County Trifecta, I am from Newfane.  And I also agree with your proclamation of what is and isn't Western New York.

Saxon73 your sense of humor is almost as bad as the alfred football prgram.  I am so sick and tired of the Utica, Alfred fans coming on this board and talking about how their program is "headed in the right direction" and "shouldn't be overlooked".  BS.  These teams are bottom of the barrel and will be until they actually PROVE they can beat springfield/fisher/IC.  While I appreciate the enthusiasm of AUpepband, Mr. Saxon73 can take his inferiority complex back to the basement of the E8.  And my karma means very little to me Sir, many posters on this board will tell you, it's not uncommon to be penalized for making a good point that other schools don't want to hear.... granted I don't make as many good points as some..

Max, there's no way you can compare A-rod and Jeter to Reyes and Wright at this point in their careers, obviously A-rod and Jeter are more proven and seasoned than the two 23 year olds in queens.  But they also have 10 years on them.  They both have a long way to go to be like their yankee counterparts, but they're on the right track..

Bombs --

Utica IS headed in the right direction. Programs like Springfield, Ithaca, and Alfred have been established for a while, so they should have some sort of success.
Fisher has risen exponentially in the last 15 years, as the program wasn't even varsity then... (ask FA91).
Utica's program is FIVE years old. Count it, if you can. Young programs will always struggle against better competition, and that's what those teams are... better. But it's not for lack of trying. They recruit well, they retain players well. They will get better, as they head in the right direction. And by the way BA, I didn't smite you for your comments.
