Nope, I don't think so at least...may have been just too far ahead.  The Clare name does sound familiar for some reason though.

Also, the morning shift is definitely more exciting.

He went to Newfane, that lil bastard is my brother....

What sports did you play?

Hmmm, well none...I was more of the non-athletic geeky guy. (Though I did do almost everything else that didn't involve sports) Though I love sports I could never actually play any very well.....Therefore no stories of me playing.  My brother played but that was before 93 and thus before your time! lol

Upstate,

No Adam was the wide receiver transfer from Cortland.  My travels have taken me to multiple colleges, and while I played other sports at the college level football was not one of them.  I am just a big fan of it, I prefer it over D1 college football.  There is more of a sense of community and you are closer to the players and I think makes the games that much better.  No sense in me cheering for a team like Florida, a school I have never been to, just not feeling the connection.

High Life, Iceman (who seems to have disappeared), max, and other current FDC students,

Can I get one of you to buy me a Cortaca ticket?  I will gladly pay you back that weekend, but I won't be able to stand in line and pick one up  :)

Max is an alumnus. A recent one, but an alumnus nonetheless.

Rowdy Rowdy Bomber

sigh.

Somethin' about "Cardinals", and winning... just doesnt sit well with Rowdy.  Just doesnt seem right. Rowdy now is going to bed... but prolly wont sleep since the Mets got him all exited.  Thank you Mets, fellow fans... we believed as hard as we could-  Cant wait till next season!  Go Bombers.

RE: Utica

I wouldnt say that Utica is going backwards, but it certaintly isnt going forwards.  Heres a team thats had the same program/coach/style for 6 years now and they have improved only a little since that first year.

Sure, you mention that Utica beat Springfield last year.  Thats a good win.  Now what happens this year?  Springfield improves off its young team the last 2 years and smokes Utica and a few other good opponents.

Alfred?  Theve been one of the top teams in upstate the last 3 years and one of the better teams in the country (around 25th I would say)

I would have been more impressed with Utica if they had improved off of last years season (its programs best).  The fact is they havent.  They arent even close.

Sure there have been some close games.  (Ithaca, RPI in 2001-2002)  But what now?  They have gone down since then.  I think it might be time there to relook how that program is being run.

are we working hard or hardly working?

fisheralum91

utah,
cant argue with you, but the program is still in its infancy.
5 years a program doesnt make....

with the admin, staff and community behind this club, they have a recipe--all be it a slow cooker---for good things.

fisheralum91

dubbs--meeting from 9-1200.
just biding my time...

Ok, I can see you saying that its only been 5 years, but how can you say they have the right admin, staff and community?  that hasnt been proven yet one bit.

fisheralum91

utah,
i am saying that the administration staff and community back the program...

positive support will have positive results in the future.  its much better than having an empty stadium and faculty who write letters to newspapers complaining about student support.
