Bombsaway -

TGP already spent plenty of time on the WS side of campus back in the day.  TGP has since grown up and moved on, as should you.

Look, all TGP was trying to do is give Alfred some credit.  Does TGP think Hobart will win this game?  Yes and they could by a TD or more if things fall in their favor.  TGP doesn't see the point of talking a ton of smack just for the sake of doing so.  Maybe back in the day when IC was the BMOC that was S.O.P., but Hobart alumni will tend to show respect to their opponents and their fans.  Besides, Alfred played Springfield just as well, if not better than SJF who beat IC by more than 3 scores.  Let's see how you guys do vs. SC before you continue to berate Alfred.

Since TGP lives in SoCal, TGP will not make the game at the 'fred, but appreciates the AU pep offer.

In the meantime, TGP tinks dat da 'Gro hit the nail on the head.

Bart has managed to remain undefeated by playing just well enough to eke out wins - they have only begun to show signs of being a more dominant team the last couple of games against good, but not great opponents.

This game vs. Alfred will be a measuring stick to whether or not this year's Hobart squad really deserves their #18 ranking or not.  If they do, then they should be able to win this game.

Looks like the Saxons will host the state's top-ranked team on Saterday; meanwhile, AU (6-1) musters all of three votes in the NYS D3 Poll, same as in the D3Football.com poll. Perhaps with a win over Hobart, the Saxons could get a few more votes.

NYS Division III Football Poll
WEEK 8 • Oct. 23
No Rank Pts
1 Hobart (10)  70
2 Cortland (5) 62
3 Ithaca      35
4 St. John Fisher 33
5 Union  16
Others receiving votes: Rochester 5, Alfred 3, Rensselaer 1.

Two schools did not vote.

GO SAXONS!!

On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

TGP never reads much into rankings.  Most of their methodologies are based on subjective material anyway.

Bart continues to get the benefit of the doubt because they are one of a handful of remaining unbeaten teams in all of D3.  Are they better than Cortland this year?

TGP has no idea.  All TGP knows that Bart slayed the Dragons last season (well, by 1 point anyway), but that's old news (but that's exactly what most of the main data points of these rankings are prolly based on so go figure).

Not sure why SJF gets ranked behind a team (IC) they smoked just a few weeks ago?  SJF only has one loss right?

True/False:

The best QB in the E8 is Paul Keeley?

(Note that Sharpe is a RB that takes the ball from center and occasionally throws a half-back option pass)

False-  That honor (if Sharpe doesn't count) would belong to Hartwick's QB, who sadly for him, has nothing to work with.
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

If TGP can't handle occasional criticsm, TGP shouldn't be posting of the D3MB.  It's very honorable that TGP has such great respect for his opponents and that's why TGP doesn't want to talk smack.  What TGP needs to realize is that I'm not looking to exchange smack, TGP needs to know that I think it's exhusting to over hype a program because they have won more games than in the past.  If TGP has grown up so much why does TGP take it so personally when a little D3 ribbing takes place? Sounds like TGP needs to re-examine what TGP is really all about.  Regardless, I appreciate that professionalism of TGP, and may TGP and all his alumni be treated with the same respect that TGP has shown others "back in the day".

Just a wild guess here, but its probably because they just got beat at home by 17....

I think most people saw Fisher's undefeated mark coming to an end this past week and it couldn't be any more deserving.  I heard the McGee brothers and their gang took to the streets and rioted.  They also reportedly took their frustrations out on any Arab members of the community as they still believe "they" are to blame for everything.

Let's get the bombers a big win this weekend and force a tie at the top!

That may be the dumbest thing I've ever read on here.

How do his numbers compare to Kramer's?

Keeley- 1450yds 59.7 comp % 19tds 2 int
Kramer- 1136yds 66.9 comp % 14tds 0 int

Kramer is a very solid QB & is having a great year so far, but Keeley is proven & is the better QB in my opinion.
