Blame 'gro for my playoff scenario discussions here.  He suggested some more useless math was necessary on this side of the fence.  When 'gro speaks...I listen.

wow! i'm glad nobody has a day job! you guys are trying to catch the LL in post!

they are on hiatus over there... big games start next week.

So basically, the playoffs start this week for IC. agree?

yeah, I agree with that.  This almost feels like D1 football, where one loss leaves you out of the national championship.  Who would've thought that one loss in D3, with a 32 team field, might leave you out of the playoffs?!
Go Bombers!

All this debate is for not because I think Cortland is going to beat IC in the last game of the season, I don't like that thought, but needing to beat cortland to go 9-1 has not gone well in the past... and I don't think it's going to go well on Cortland soil this coming november..

Put your jacket on FA91! It's cold up there

Rowdy Rowdy Bomber

Rowdy is very exited for this weekend.

thank you tecmo for the exposé of all the other teams and they're bid chances...  most extravagant.

Bomber fans, family, friends, neighbors, cornell students, alumni, tc3, fisher fans...

On behalf of the Bomber fans... I would like to cordially invite you to Saterdays match up at Butterfield.  Come cheer with us, the FDC as the Bombers host Springfield!  Lets not be too good of hosts, and be sure they'll never want to come back to Butterfield.  So bring everyone you know, to the Big Show!

-Go Bombers.

question for those close to the players... have any of them said anything about playing at Butterfield with the FDC and any impact?

I'm not sure they allow themselves to get too caught up in the crowd unless the game is "in hand"......

I have to believe that they enjoy...NOT traveling a distance (still don't understand the same day trip to SJF)......and everybody enjoys having a home crowd...but I think that is in a general sense...

I think the FDC has the potential to rile the opposition.....First half at Fisher as an example....

That having been said....what the FDC does to the entire crowd is what "stokes" the stadium......that has to have an obvious effect!

    It's Twosday....Saterday comes pretty soon!!!

well thats good....nice and simple.  All IC has to do is beat an undefeated Springfield squad, go on the road to an improved Alfred team, and go on the road to a currently undefeated Cortland team for Cortaca.  Sounds like a cake walk to me.

I think the reason people are discussing it so much is that is a HUGE task.... I for one am quite nervous.

One week at a time......

Fill the stands on Saterday with yellow shirts....Uncle Yager and 2000 other Bomber faithful....

Coach Welch, Raymond, Schur and the players will do their best...no surprises, just execution.....

    Who's HOUSE is this anyway???

How do I get a Pep bandana?

I'm willing to bet they don't have them on the shelves at the Wal-Marts around Denver.....yet.

But if you seriously would like to purchase one of our limited edition purple AU Pep Bandanas, the cost is $5 plus postage. Send me your mailing address in a personal message and I'll get one in the mail to you with a self-addressed stamped envelope for your return envelope. (How's that for service?)

Or, as AUKaz00 has already stated, you can purchase one at the AU Pep Band tent in the stands at Merrill Field on any of the next three Saterdays....provided they're not sold out.

Basically this means a 3 way tie results in QOW being the deciding factor as SC-IC-SJF would all have beaten the remainder of the teams in the league for their to be a 3-way tie.

I  suppose the only possible way to IC to get the AQ is to win out, then have SJF lose to Alfred or Utica.  That would leave Alfred-IC-SC all with 1 E8 loss but, IC would have the head-to-head over both.

Why am I doing this?  I hate playing out scenarios.

Actually, if IC wins out and Fisher loses to Alfred or Utica then IC would get the AQ since Alfred would then have 2 conference losses.  If Springfield wins on Saterday, then the SJF and IC games at Alfred should decide the E8 pool C qualifier.

And if you want a PepBANDana, stop by the AU Pep Band tent at Merrill Field any of the next 3 Saterdays.

Playoff mentality Football for the next 3 weeks!

Been saying for six months that the last three weeks of the 2006 season will feature a playoff atmosphere at Merrill Field. Saxons have not disappointed. GO AU!!

Not Necessarily.  I believe that Springfield will win the game. However, I think your scenario of Cortland losing to Rowan, then dropping cortaca to you guys is possible, in fact in the board on general football's "way too early playoff guesses", I have dropped Cortland out of the playoffs...I have a gut feeling your thought may come true.

Kaz-  It's mostly my personal belief that Alfred would be good to win one of those games, two would be highly unlikely, three would be just short of a miracle.

You gotta believe!!!

Julio Fuentes, now able to talk on the telephone, has been moved from Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester to a specialized rehabilitation hospital in Atlanta. Shepherd Center, founded in 1975 in Atlanta, Georgia, specializes in the medical and rehabilitative treatment of people with spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions. He is expected to be at Shepherd for about a month of rehabilitation with the goal being independent mobility. He would then be expected to undergo an additional two months or so of rehabilitation near his hometown of Olean. Then, Julio would likely be able to return to Alfred to continue his studies in fall 2007.

Alfred is interesting.  They seem like an enigma to me.... what if Everyone has underestimated them and they do win out? Wouldn't that be something!  I think I have my new rooting interest with Brockport securely 3 games under .500.

That's fantastic news. It's humbling to see things like that - makes our debates pointless in the big scheme of things. ... What exactly happened to him? Break his neck? Back?
