I have to say I'm torn about this game, Part of me really wants Ithaca to win and evreybody beat Alfred, but the other part of me wants Ithaca to lose to either Springfield or Alfred then that way they can't take a pool c bid from Fisher, but again Fisher HAS to beat Utica and Alfred no more choking against the mighty Saxons

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Alfred is interesting.  They seem like an enigma to me.... what if Everyone has underestimated them and they do win out? Wouldn't that be something!  I think I have my new rooting interest with Brockport securely 3 games under .500.

Alfred is an enigma. Was thinking about it the other night while watching Springfield-SJF highlights on Rochester TV station. The station, one of the closest TV stations to Alfred, never even announces Alfred's game scores unless they play one of the "Rochester Area" teams. Not like scores aren't available on the 'net....thanks to this website.

Alfred has minimal media coverage. No feature stories (except a column in Julio Fuentes' hometown Olean Times-Herald newspaper or preview in Sunday Spectator) on the team. Minimal coverage. No d3football.com feature stories. Buffalo newspapers once cared about Alfred games because AU was a UB rival. N'er a word is said of the Saxons these days while UB and its DI program gets plenty of press.

Not a lot of hype at Alfred. Some individuals on the team are nearing school records but that's not the focus. Heck, Alfred hasn't had Coach Alex Yunevich since 1976....he garnered plenty of attention for Alfred late in his storybook career. Sports Illustrated article, feature on CBS News with Heywood Hale Broun, photo with Joe Paterno in NYC when receiving the Lambert Bowl, to name a few.

Alfred has a good football team. How good? That will be answered in the next three weeks.

LOL...not recently or well...Unfortunately can't join the band, but we'll see how they do in the upcoming weeks.  This week's game will really show a lot in my opinion

Portgrad2004: If you should make it down to one of the next three games, please introduce yourself to the band. I'll have a kazoo for ya...the perfect instrument for hummers.

I wish I could see a D3 game..Haven't seen one in 2 years.  Being in Florida is not advantageous for that.  Maybe they should move the Stagg bowl here for no real logical reason other than good weather (Note I know there are no schools here and it doesn't make sense)

A Hop (onto I-390 S)
A Skip (down Rt. 36 South)
and a Jump (on I-86 West)

Take exit 33 (Almond) and follow signs to Alfred. About the time you think you're lost, you've found Alfred.....nestled away mid the Empire State hills.....

I can make it to Marketplace in less than 90 minutes.

I need a sax, a clarinet and a flute....can you play all of them simultaneously?  :D

We appreciate it, but best I can tell it would be in your Pool C interests for us to lose.  Although, it may not matter as we could still be the odd man out in a three team tie.

I like D3 as much as anybody but count your blessings Portgrad.  Not only are you in the greatest state in the nation but, you are in college football mecca.  Case in point, Maxpower is going to have to text me Bomber updates Saterday because JoseQViper will be attending The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.

In other words, morning shift getting an early start.

morning shift here,
and yes it is cold here!

Looks like snow/rain showers for saterday...
