I understand the impact of 'slop', but it appears that IC scored 3 TD'S...plus it appears that 3 kicks were executed, so how sloppy was it?....did anyone see first hand?  IC must have shut them down period...

I watched the game via the webcast. And yes, it was sloppy. IC did score 3 td's but SP has no defense. What would have been more telling is how Ithaca's D did against them in normal conditions. Nobody said Ithaca didn't shut them down today, it's obvious they did - But the conditions played a role in Springfields ability to cut, and get outside, etc...

I always love the "well it would have been different if... the field wasn't sloppy."  That's garbage.  It's like saying... I would have hooked up w/ that girl if I wasn't so drunk.  There are so many things that can happen on any given day/night.  The weather probably did help the bombers out a little today... Just like the Blizzard helped out RPI in the playoffs a few years back... It's just one of the many factors though. 

They did play on the same field under the same conditions.

IC was better prepared and had a great gameplan going in.  Jamie Donovan was stellar today running the ball.  Springfield had nobody that could match-up w/ (or tackle) Ortel... and The "New" Bombers D only gave up 1 score for the 4th game in a row. 

All that said... this game won't mean anything unless the Bombers can get 2 more W's.

IC-  Maybe an outside chance if AU Pep Bands boys can take out Fisher
Pride- E8 Champs... unless Alfred screws them

I said 3,788 times that Ithaca beat the hell out of them today. Go back & read all the posts, I tipped my hat to Ithaca for playing a great game.

Sharpe is the real deal.......That was the best we've seen the option run in the three years I've been watching. He was tossed around with and without the ball...popped right up EVERY time.


Coach Welch, Raymond and the assistants are to be commended.....they have something new each time we play the Pride....

Offense looked great today....Jamie Donovan is "the Mudder" in the E8........North and South and carryin' whoever wanted to come along for the ride....


Sunshine or turf, the defensive personnel on the field were the right 11 guys and they executed....

...and the twlfth man kicked some serious tail today!!!           GO FDC!
