The QOWI was just updated and it still has SC tied for first (12.0), SJF tied for 10th (10.875) and IC tied at 87th (8.167).....

Owies....

Ithaca needs SC or SJF to lose to get in.....

I dont think IC gets in if its a 3 way tie....

Had a lot of catching up to do on posts, and I have formulated some opinions so worry not!

Saxon73.... thanks for taking the advice, it was actually funny

Upstate....You just now mentioning that you don't think IC will get in with a 3 way tie suprised the hell out of me because you are usually the biggest pessimist regarding Fisher, always quick to knock them for something even though you are a big fan and former player.  It's just kind of weird to see

Also, maybe I am missing something but if all three teams finish 9-1 how have we come to the conclusion Fisher is the odd team out?  Head-to-Head matchups still go into consideration, it might not be the deciding factor but there is no way they will completely overlook it.  Plus Fisher's out of conference / In region teams have a combined record of 18-13 to Ithaca's 13-11 (including Cortland's 8-0 record).  Maybe I am missing something but I just don't see what makes it a clear cut reason why Fisher would be left dancing in the wind.

My apologies, it's just frustrating to read that stuff and that's as close to an angry post as I will make.

Keeley is the real deal - but he still couldn't get the job done under 2 minutes & in hobart territory.

To be fair to Keeley, he was under a hell of a lot of heat.  And he was going into the wind.  And the announcers made clear to everyone listening, (over and over, you know,) the wind had a considerable effect on the passing game.  Neither team moved the ball going into the wind.

Good luck the rest of the way AU.  You were tough today.
On to Union week Bart
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Orangeperson,

How could AU "screw" the Pride's chances of an E8 title at this point?  Does anyone know the 3 way tie breaker if it happens, but under no circumstances would a AU win over SJF hurt the Pride...it could only help.

Gotta Edit this....

SC is 7th with a 11.375, SJF is 17th with a 10.667 and IC has moved up to 45th with a 9.268....

Also with what K-Mac mentioned on the playoff guesses thread it makes ya think.  If all three run the table SC and IC will have more wins vs regionally ranked teams than SJF.  SC beat Union, Alfred and SJF, while IC (if they win out) will have beaten SC, AU and Cortland.  SJF only has their win vs IC and AU to hang their hat on.

SJF needs UR to win out and Cortland to beat IC in the Cortaca in order for them to get in....

If it ends in a 3 way tie, it would be a shame for 1 to get left out.

From now on, I'd love SJF to move all Springfield games at home to the practice field due to an "unplayable surface"....

Good idea upstate...

In addition to not putting the tarp out... I heard reports out of Ithaca that Ernie was seen near butterfield w/ a fire hose last night.

I never said anything pessimistic when they lost last week....

this isn't really true. If AU beats SJF, and Ithaca beats AU, Then it's only a two way tie for first place in the E8, and the tiebreaker goes to Ithaca in the head to head matcheup category. So springfield is rooting for SJF when they play AU.

Upstate-

I think we're all in the same boat. There's so many things that can happen still ...

Where is Frank?

Had to head to Boston for a dinner after the Union game, so I apologize for my absence.  I want to congratulate Ithaca for not only a win yesterday against Springfield yesterday, but a major victory.  If IC plays like that against Cortland, then Cortland will have a hell of a time with the Bombers.

Those of you who have read my posts over the last couple years know that I like to jerk the IC chains -- especially since the Bombers have met Union twice in the last decade.  So, eating this much crow is never fun.  Yet, it was impressive, no doubt, even from many miles away.  Congrats to the IC team and fans.  Now back to NYC for me...I'll post Division-wide playoff updates over the next couple days, as time permits.

Frank

I see your lurking on here ER, whats the deal with Robby?

Quick note, though.  It's interesting that the four one-loss E8 teams only have five games left total (Alfred/Ithaca, Alfred/SJF, Ithaca/Cortland, Springfield/Hartwick, and Springfield/Utica).  Makes things somewhat managable in terms of scenarios in the E8 now, as there are only 32 possible combinations of results that could occur (assuming no ties due to darkness or forfeitures).  I'm willing to play out all 32 to see the Pool A AND Pool C implications of each scenario, if anyone has any interest.

Thanks Frank.  If Ithaca loses to Cortand and they dont get in then Ill be fine with that unless of course SC and SJF have another loss on there.  If Ithaca beats Cortland and Alfred however, you would have to say IC would be the #1 team in the east going into the playoffs.  (Dont know much about Wilkes or Wesley though)
