Quick note, though.  It's interesting that the four one-loss E8 teams only have five games left total (Alfred/Ithaca, Alfred/SJF, Ithaca/Cortland, Springfield/Hartwick, and Springfield/Utica).  Makes things somewhat managable in terms of scenarios in the E8 now, as there are only 32 possible combinations of results that could occur (assuming no ties due to darkness or forfeitures).  I'm willing to play out all 32 to see the Pool A AND Pool C implications of each scenario, if anyone has any interest.

Thanks Frank.  If Ithaca loses to Cortand and they dont get in then Ill be fine with that unless of course SC and SJF have another loss on there.  If Ithaca beats Cortland and Alfred however, you would have to say IC would be the #1 team in the east going into the playoffs.  (Dont know much about Wilkes or Wesley though)

JU, If Wilkes/Bart run the table they'll probably be the ones fighting for the #1 spot in the east.....

I'd love to see all 32 scenarios....

You might be right because of the records, but Id still think Ithaca would look better than Hobart with more key wins at the end of the season, plus more blowout wins than Hobart during the season.

UPSTATE- Got a stinger yesterday and was pulled for precautionary reasons, the week off should help heel the team I hope-they are really banged up

Good news...good news

I'd really like to see Stepnick and Norton back on the field at AU as well...

Orangeperson,

How could AU "screw" the Pride's chances of an E8 title at this point?  Does anyone know the 3 way tie breaker if it happens, but under no circumstances would a AU win over SJF hurt the Pride...it could only help.

this isn't really true. If AU beats SJF, and Ithaca beats AU, Then it's only a two way tie for first place in the E8, and the tiebreaker goes to Ithaca in the head to head matcheup category. So springfield is rooting for SJF when they play AU.

That was pretty nice of you trueblue. I would have said, "That absolute statement you made in your post is so blindingly incorrect, I can't even see my keyboard to type the obvious retort."

Big win for IC yesterday, plus the Bills aren't playing.... this might be my happiest Sunday in a while.

It does figure that the Sabres did lose for the first time last night, some sports team from buffalo is supposed to lose each weekend.....

I already applauded you on the NJAC board for what you said....

Just in case anyone was wondering here's the E-8 Tiebreaker...

1. Head-to-Head results.

2. Results vs. lowest ranked conference teams (7th, 6th, 5th, etc) based on final season standings.

3. Results versus common non-league opponents

4. The team's overall quality of win index (as determined by the NCAA procedure used at the completion of the season)

5. Overall record

UPSTATE- Looks like Stepnick and Greg P. at DT are questionable, but Norton is a doubtful, not sure about Fox

AU Takes out IC this week & Your left w/ 2 teams w/ one loss in the E8... The Pride & SJF.

Pride has the tie-breaker due to the W they ran up on SJF

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but it's in IC's best pool C interests for Union to beat Hobart this week, right? Or not right?

EDIT: Not right. Been set straight on the issue. Go back to your lives. Go Statesmen.
