Mr. N-

I'm from Rochester myself, but don't know much about the HS football scene. Any boys getting looks from recent champs Marshall or foe C-C? What about my alma mater, W. Irondequoit?

Averin Collier (C-C) is only a Jr. but will be getting some serious looks next year at RB.

Nice article a short while back about West Irondequoit and how well organized the youth program is and how that feeds into the High School......I watched your Alma's Freshmen team a few weeks back....well coached and athletic....

Collier at C-C is already getting serious looks from D1 schools......that brings a lot of local guys an oppty. to make an impression....

Of course, maybe their coaching staff is taking the Paul Vosburgh approach & only letting his best back carry a minimal amount of times.

Ouch.....

You got to ask yourself if thats due to Reile emerging last year or the lingering effects from last years injury....

I would love to see him get those 30+ carry games again though....

Sure, Reile proved he's a formidable backup.
Vosburgh didn't handle it well - you don't take a back like Robinson & have him go every other series b/c of an injury in week 4 2005.

I know Mark, and he's fine. Everyone has lingering injuries, and I agree that Reile should be used to spell him & give the game a change of pace. Robinson is the type of back that gets better with carries, and he can't get in the flow of the game splitting time w/ Reile.

Fisher hasn't paid for this approach until the first half of the Ithaca game. Everyone knows what Robinson can do if he's given the carries.

Sorry Mr. N, it was a bit harsh, but come on! It makes me so mad that a guy whose handle is "proud papa" would disappear after the first loss of the season. Usually I would just straight up apologize when I do something hotheaded, but it's STILL making me mad!

"Fairweather" ain't in your blood......I get it!

Mr. N-

It's more than just fairweather for me. It really (cue music) comes down to the way I was raised. If the guy was just a fan, fine. But a father? The father of a starter, no less?

It's true he didn't say anything inflammatory, but why post before the IC game? Going into it, the SJF game was just as big. I think he wanted to get in a post before the game, and then after the foregone conclusion win (remember, the Pride were Hungry), he could talk them up a bit more heading into a playoff run. They lose, he's gone, doesn't care anymore. And the kick in the teeth is that his name is the sentimental "proud papa". What is that? SC will (more than likely) still make the playoffs, no reason to give up.

Okay, a few more hours, and I can officially let it go.

Interested to see how the Ithaca - Alfred game plays out... Keeley is a good QB so that will test the bomber secondary, but I think they forgot about Newsome. The kid is a horse & I don't think he's getting many carries this year... Could be wrong though - Pepband, any comments on that?

Tecmo's parents went to the "other" school in the area, so it wouldn't be the first exposure to the Alfred turf.  We've heard the pep band before :-)

Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th
