In a completely unrelated statement, Boise State playing on ESPN...Gotta love that Blue field...Gotta play tricks on a fan after drinking a few cold ones....

Ha - that'd be a bad day at that field w/ too many drinks in you.

John Utah... Does Springfield Loss to IC place them below IC? Should IC be below SJF because they were beat by them? SHouldnt SC be ahead of SJF because they beat them?! everyone has 1 loss so not everyone can be happy.  I would say the reason SC is still ahead of IC and SJF is the QOWI..I believe someone said something about everyone having one bad game.

As far as Injuries, you can't take those into accoutn as far as they should be ranked higher because they dont have kids hurt.

Didnt the announcer say SC was using their FB....Hasn't Andrew Jackson been out of action mostly since Brockport?

Yeah I'm certainly not blaming the loss on the injury.  Plenty of things could be pointed to in that game... Blumenauer is kind of our Lang though... it at least wouldnt have hurt to have him.

yeah, as IC's announcers liked to beat into the ground, "old hickory" had been injured in the Brockport game.

Yea I would think the most recent games would be a factor since they all have the same record.

And if Sharpe didnt play for SC last week then I would accept those rankings a little more, if he was now playing again this week.

Check out the youtube video if you get a chance.

At the twenty second mark, does it look like an Ithaca WR is all by himself in the endzone... and does a bit of a angry skip becomes Juvan doesnt see him? Man, he looked ridiculously open.

There's four points left on the board right there.

On a side note, I just recently watched the highlights from the SJF/IC game.  Now I wasnt there nor did I see the whole game but it appeared to me that 3 of SJF's Touchdowns were big plays off of one missed tackle by linebackers that werent even blocked.  Im not saying IC would have won the game if those 3 tackles were made but does anyone know what Im talking about here?

Im pretty sure that alot of TD's for both teams came from one person missing a tackle.

Are you talking about the highlights off of youtube.com or are they on IC's website?

Yea I was talking about the youtube.com highlights although I did see the Ithaca news clip as well.  (cant seem to find that one now online for some reason.)

But SJF big TDs were off of long runs and what appeared to be missed tackles/mental mistakes.  Granted IC wasnt even close to that but their TD and FG were off of sustained drives correct?

Just watched them again....

Robby's 50yder it looks as if the backside safety missed the openfield tackle....

His 2nd TD, no one really had a chance at him.  Nice block by Nowicki downfield though....

Kramer's bootleg, LBer never had a chance the way they were moving the ball on the ground.  He bit hard and Harmon was wide open.  Man, that looked very similar to what Felicetti and Dargush used to do.....

Kramers bomb, most likely it was the go routes that the SJF WR's run up the seams vs. Man-2-man (FYI,  anyone who thinks that other coaches dont realize this yet after years of running it with Noah is crazy) and Kramer just picked his open guy and let if fly.

No one near him....

Does anyone think that Ortel was in the endzone on that catch near the goalline?

-Agreed on the first TD, bad missed tackle by one of the safeties, although it appears that Scalice (#51) tried to spill it outside, but instead got kicked out by the FB.

Well the second TD, the Ithaca OLB got washed down too hard while the contain man was too worried about contain and less worried about getting his head in there and making the play.'

the third TD could have been better man coverage by the LB.    I mean even I know that SJF loves the bootleg to the TE in the redzone.  Am I right?

the forth TD seemed like a poorly timed blitz against a deep 4 streak pattern vs a cover 3 where the SJF QB made a nice decision.  Still a coverage breakdown though.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Again, Im not making excuses and I wasnt at the game but to me it seems like SJF had 4 big plays on some key IC mistakes, Instead of a game where SJF dominates on the scoreboard and stats with long sustained drives and total domination.

Nah, I think the SJF safety flew towards the ball when IC threw it.

Where is this analysis going guys? Slowly wittling away reasons why Fisher won the game down to the point where it was luck?

It's over. Bottom line is that Fisher pounded the Bombers in the second half. Does that mean it would happen if a rematch were to occur? Of course not, these two teams are neck & neck and can beat each other on any given day of the week. Fisher was better that Saterday - period.
