Bork is their best reciever and has been for the last two years.  He's a playmaker with great hands.  The thing about the other recievers, is that Keeley spreads the wealth around so much that it is not as much receivers that he is looking for, as much as matchups, holes, and windows.  Thats why the RB and TE are so big in the AU passing attack, because a smart qb can take such advantage of them with favorable matchups.

After a loss last weekend, and a lose to Cortland, will IC make an ECAC game?
No matter where we go, it's about who we are.......C-STATE!!!!!!!!

Teams have made ECAC games with 3 and even 4 losses before.  IC is in for an ECAC.

I'll open up this debate on this board too:

Anyone else having trouble with the relative positioning of Rowan in the D3Football.com Top 25 Poll?  It's not like the Profs have had a stellar year right now:

12 Wilkes 9-0 362 13 Def Susquehanna 35-7 at King's (10.778)
13 Rowan 6-2 271 17 Def No. 15 Cortland State 14-7 vs. William Paterson (9.714)
14 Springfield 8-1 238 18 Def Hartwick 44-20 at Norwich (11.444)
15 Cortland State 8-1 233 12 Lost to No. 13 Rowan 14-7 vs. Ithaca (9.500)
16 Union 7-1 223 20 Def No. 22 Hobart 31-14 at RPI (10.875)
17 St. John Fisher 8-1 206 19 Open Date at Alfred (11.111)
22 Hobart 7-1 121 14 Lost to No. 16 Union 31-14 vs. Rochester (11.125)
25 Ithaca 7-2 55 16 Lost to Alfred 28-17 at Cortland State (9.250)

I included the QoW index at the end of each line.  I think that while the QoW index could be somewhat deceptive when comparing two teams and the index is +/- 1.000 or less between teams.   However, Rowan's QoW is almost 1.4 points below SJF, 1.7 points below Springfield, 1.1 points below Union and 1.4 points below Hobart.  That's pretty awkward, and the QoW will not be boosted by Rowan's game vs. William Patterson.  Why so high on the ballots?!

Do u think that even if wilkes goes 10-0 that SC still has a shot at being the 1 seed in the east.  They have only traveled out of conference one time and their QOW is below SC's.  SC has wins against a potential three playoff teams (union, AU and SJF)

what do u think

Frank,

Do you need a history lesson on what Rowan has done its East counterparts during playoff time?

Don't forget, this is a poll by Voters.  To me it looks like the Voters are using a bit of logic!

This one isn't rocket science.

Its nice to see we have people overlooking some of AU recievers.  I think some of you need to check stats before you make comments!

I am new to the board and excited to be here... I have been following upstate football (and this board) for about 7 years now.

I don't want to be one of the "out of the woodwork" people but I wanted to get registered before basketball season, and talking E8 football is a major bonus.

Onto the game...I can not wait for the weekend. I am not going to be able to make the Fisher/Alfred game because I go to Cortaca every year. I would have to believe if Fisher wins this weekend then they are in the playoffs. With a 9-1 record and the only loss at the hands of SC.

I am pulling for U of R to beat Hobart to clear the way a little bit for Fisher to get a higher seed.

And, as a rule I do not cheer for Ithaca against Cortland, but I may just have to pull for the bombers to give another quality team in the east a loss. Besides, my wife is an Ithaca alum and she would kill me if I cheer for Cortland.

Glad to be here...should be an exciting few more weeks of the season
GO FISHER!!!

Are you looking to start trouble where there is none?  If thats your deal, then thats fine...but did you even read the posts you're talking about.  one person complimented the AU receivers as a group, one praised one individually and then a third corrected that while the praised receiver was good there was another having a better year.

It looked to me like 3 compliments to the AU program....but feel free to take them as insults.

Given that Fisher puts so many points on the board, their defense must see less playing time and the opponents are given less time to have a chance to score.

If AU's defense is effective to a certain degree, how does the AU offense compare v the Fisher defense?

Maybe you need a history lesson, when Rowan was ripping through the east they were also ripping apart their schedule.  They are not this year, they are squeeking by every week.

Good job Mr N.  (I'm catching up on posts)
