The following 19 teams are eligible for the ECAC Championships:

Curry   10-0   X
Cortland State   8-1   X
St. John Fisher   8-1   X
Coast Guard   8-1   X
Springfield   8-1   X
Hobart   7-1   X
Ithaca   7-2   X
Bridgewater St.   7-2
Alfred   7-2   X
Rochester   7-2   X
-------------------------------------
Maine Maritime   6-3
RPI   5-3
Endicott   6-4
Husson   6-4
Mass-Dartmouth   5-4
West. New Eng.   5-4
West. Conn.   5-4
Nichols   5-4
Mount Ida   4-4

Teams with an "X" are NCAA Playoff eligible.  However, at least four of these nine teams will make the NCAA Playoffs.  Therefore, teams not listed in the Top 10, denoted by the dashed line, will have to hope for more teams to receive NCAA bids or for the Committee to place a lower-record team above a team above the dashed line in making decisions.

We do know that the Curry-Coast Guard loser will be one of the six teams.  The other five teams are still very much in flux.

How do you guys think the AU receivers will stack up against the Fisher defensive backs?  I know Alfred has a good passing game who are their big play receivers this year?  I know Fisher is strong in the secondary with Stepnick, Miranto, and Norton.

Alfred's big play receivers are Manzer, Bork, Gibbins, Riley, Chase, Hendrix, Wiacek, O'Brien, Newsome and Kryder....whoever Keeley happens to find open. Am sure Keeley would throw it to AUPepBand were he open, but it's tough to get open carrying a bass drum. Suggest the Cardinals double-team the drummer, just to be safe.

Is every AU reciever a "Big Play" reciever?

"I before E except after C or when sounding like "ay" as in neighbor and weigh."

I believe every AU receiver is a "Big Play" receiver, although AUPepBand cannot vouch for each receiver's spelling ability.
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

Wow!
A Rowan poster on the lowly E8 thread?
rowanlb- you must be a little nervous as this is a true rarity!
Why else would you be posting on an "inferior" thread?
Work with me guys....
Seriously - your team is a gleam of what it used to be and you are getting defensive...

Expected...
taking pot shots at a thread dedicated to the love of e8 football
Unexpected.....

No, just having some fun messing with you guys.  Don't take it too personal though.  I know how much any team in the E8 would love to draw Rowan in the first round. ;D

rowanlb92

Who plays in the E8 anyway?

Any team w/o their 4th string QB could beat Rowan.....

You guys cant score and thats a fact, any time a team scores 21pts (or more) you guys lose....

Rowans barely averaging 19pts a game, thats not going to get it done playoff time.....

You heard it here first....

Rowan and Springfield get bounced in the first round.....

Now your providing comedy too.

Well I wouldn't go so far as to say any team could beat them with a starting quarterback, but I get your point.  Rowan is a very good team but they are definitely vulnerable this year, and they really don't have a right to be talking too much trash.  Talking about Rowan teams of the past does nothing for this year, I mean if we are going to look at past events then Ithaca would absolutely oblierate Rowan because hey they have won 3 national championships to Rowan's zero.

What does oblierate mean?

My prior posts were just a historical look at what Rowan does during Playoff time.  There weren't many years that Rowan just steamrolled the regular season, but the story was much different when it came to dealing with what the rest of the East had to offer come playoff time.

Even in what most Prof fans consider to be a down year for Rowan, It would surprise me if they did not win the East this year.

What does "weren'y" mean??

It may suprise you if they dont win the East this year, but with their offense it would suprise me if they got to the East Region Finals....
