SCgrad that hurts.....

So did i read that right? I thought they did first round based on distance and I figured SC would get curry?? If they get Rowan I would love to watch that game.  An immovable defense against a pretty unstoppable offense...

Can someone confirm that for me?

Keep in mind that nothing can be confirmed for sure until the selection committee decides.

Show me the true hearted son of old Springfield
who doesn't love the spot ! ! ! where the Massasoit flows!

SC would not be the number 1 seed most likely unless Wilkes loses.  Then they'd get Curry/Coast Guard.

The only time distance comes into the equation is if its more than a couple hundred miles (500 i think)....

Also, plus +K to the night crew that was owed last night....

Right, but the way he said it since it looks like there are no conference rematches then indeed  it goes 1-8 2-7 etc etc...If those standings did hold up barring Saturdays games, then indeed SC would host Rowan

The only thing they dont cover is the possiblity of UR beating Bart, as mentioned on the Daily Dose.  It would create havoc if UR beats Bart and IC wins vs Cortland.   It would open up two spots in the east and with one team already projected to be moved in it would just get crazy!!

Need I say....

GO U OF R?????.

If UofR wins they have a legit shot at getting in with their only losses to Union and SJF, grant it their QOWI isnt that hot, but a win over a regionally ranked Hobart (who has a 11.125 QOWI) would go along way.

They are quietly putting together a good season at 7-2 so far...

How bout this for a playoff projection...

SJF beats AU
IC beats Cort
UR beats Bart

Leaving us with....

1) Wilkes vs 8) Curry/CG
4) SJF vs 5) Dickinson

2) Springfield vs 7) Rochester
3) Union vs 6) Rowan

D3football.com playoff projection for east bracket....

Wilkes Bracket
1. Wilkes (a)
2. Springfield (a)
3. Union (a)
4. St. John Fisher (c)
5. Hobart (c)
6. Dickinson (a)
7. Rowan (a)
8. NEFC Champ (a)
The natural seedings avoid any conference rematches and the like, so there are no pairings shuffled here. No. 8 plays 1, 7-2, 6-3 and 5-4. ... Dickinson moves from the South because only seven East teams were selected. ... I don't believe Curry can pass Rowan with a win in the NEFC title game. Regardless of who wins, the No. 8 seed is likely. ... If St. John Fisher loses to Alfred, Alfred (projected .800 regional winning pct., approx. 10.700 QOW) has a shot at getting in. ... By beating Cortland State, Ithaca (projected .778, 9.889) would likely to ensure neither team makes the playoffs. ... By beating Ithaca, Cortland State (projected .889, 10.000) would likely get in and bump Dickinson back to the South.

I would actually like to see this happen as a Rowan fan.  I guess we will not enjoy home field advantage this year.  A Springfield/ Rowan matchup would be a nice one.  Where exactly is Springfield College.  What would the commute be from exit 100 on the parkway?

Some where in the teddi bruschi loving region of the US, also known as Mass.

I too would love to see a SC/Rowan match up....Rowan could actually score some points that game!!

rowanlb92

I have a tough time thinking Rowan will only pull a 7 seed though.

However it plays out, I pray that we don't get paired with Union.  Besides the college, that surrounding town reminded me of a degenerate dumping ground.

I would actually hope for a fischer or a Sprinfield first round.

Doesn't Rowan have 2 losses already? Why would they be any higher than a 7 at this point?

rowanlb92

Does 2 losses make you a lower seed?

With that rationale, shouldn't curry be a 1 seed if they go undefeated?

See Rowan could go anywhere from a 4 to a 7 seed, depending on what happens this week....

I wouldnt worry about it though, if I were a rowan fan I'd want a low seed.  There are some higher seeded teams in the east that couldnt handle rowan (wilkes and SC)....

I would love to see a SJF/Rowan match up, heck we're playing MUC in 08 so might as well play the "beast of the east" as well....
