Dont forget Baez in there either.....

No offense Mr. Utah (or the other IC guys that I like) but I don't think Baez is really that good.

Don't jump down my throats yet, I didn't say he wasn't good... My feeling is that he's a decent back but not anything to write home about.

He beat SJF last year.

Well thought out response. That still doesn't mean he's anything to write home about.

And I wasn't saying it to be a prick, just my opinion on it is all.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude, you're driving me up the wall..... I'm not TALKING ABOUT THE DEFENSE.  I had to go and use caps.  I'm talking about that curry's running backs are not as good as the ones SC faced so they will not be able to put up points like the other teams did.  Get off Union and Fishers nuts for a minute. I'm trying to talk about the SC/Curry game and how since SC can score points on anyone, and Curry's offense isnt as good as the ones that SC faced how it is not going to be a shootout like people are predicting over there...I had no idea I would have to explain myself so much.

Let me guess, I wouldn't have to explain myself so much for such and such a reason, right superman?

And yes, Baez too Preston.

I was just saying that Baez can do things that Donovan cant.  Donovan has proven himself to be the better back most of the time but Baez is a good back.

And I would agree with both of those statements.

Ok some football talk...

Let's be real here - Does Curry really stand any chance at all in knocking off the Pride

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

HEY TAGS

I've been tryin to find out peoples opinions for about an hour now.

I've seen the curry offense and i'm not sure if anyone else around here has or not but it looks like high school.  Some decent athletes but basically straight power I, toss, very simple.  Which means there is somethin to be said about it because they do it well.  I think this game might be close for a little bit as Curry tries to prove they are the best in mass but eventually springfields run game will wear down on them hard

I say theres a small chance.  And Ive made the point before that Currys defensive coordinator played at Ithaca and then coached at Sprinfield so he is familiar with SC.  I still say SC runs away with it 48-7

Looks like they are posting good offensive numbers & are fairly stingy on defense... But it also looks like they're playing in a weak conference.

Tough to bet against you guys in this one.

Hope you're right.

Side note...Looking at Curry's depth; their starting fullback was sharpes fullback in high school it looks like. Same high school same time.

How about the Hobart v. Rowan game? ... I'm going w/ Rowan

Eh, the only thing that would keep Curry in the game is the fact that the Ithaca guy is now on their coaching staff (as someone pointed out earlier). It's tough to realize how good the SC offense is this year unless you play them so maybe they won't get caught on their heels and blown away from the start... This is going to hurt...

A la Fisher in week 7

Well I say Rowan will win but it would be sweet if Hobart pulled out the W, and it would shut up a lot of the Cortland posters who are saying Hobart stands no chance.

With Curry, sure they will most likely lose the game but I'm not going to say they are going to lose by 35+ like some of the people are predicting.  The last 3 years in the playoffs they have had to play one of the top 3 seeds in the East and have only lost by about 14-20 in those games.  No reason why Springfield should be any different really.

sjfcards

Predictions for the regions playoffs first round:

Wilkes over Washington and Lee by 17
Hobart over Rowan by 3 ( I may live to regret that one)
Fisher over Union by 10 or less
Springfield over Curry by 14 (possible curry could put up 40 points and still lose by 2 touchdowns)
GO FISHER!!!
