I guess if Norwich can hold Sharpe to 55 yards anything can happen.

Predictions for the regions playoffs first round:

Wilkes over Washington and Lee by 17
Hobart over Rowan by 3 ( I may live to regret that one)
Fisher over Union by 10 or less
Springfield over Curry by 14 (possible curry could put up 40 points and still lose by 2 touchdowns)

I don't think Hobart's got it in them...

Where is max when you need him.

I'm all around you, fan of max.

By the way I jumped on the LL bandwagon for a bit.

boobyhasgameyo

Norwich held him to 55
Ithaca held him as well and Springfield only scored 7
Brockport did a decent job of containing them

Fisher's defense I would say is a bit better than Ithaca's and definitely better than Brockport and Norwich's.  So basically Sharpe had the game of his life against Fisher (and it literally was the game of his life so don't complain and talk about how great he is) and I doubt it would happen like that again.

Well played with the name, max!

I guarantee it won't happen like that again when we see him in the second round. I will say right now he will be held under 125... That said, lets not take anything away from him or the game he had at Fisher (which I do agree was the game of his life, he could do no wrong).

I certainly think he is stoppable, but I also give him kudos for a great season. He's a tough kid & a great athlete.

Not to be a real homer here (it's me, after all), but don't think Vosburgh won't be watching the IC-SC game three times every night before he goes to bed should SJF and SC meet again. Welch knows how to handle that offense and Vosburgh apparently doesn't... I think that will be a big factor in the game, plus SJF's full defense coming back, plus Sharpe not taking shrooms before the game. A rematch would be MUCH closer.

Oh he had a great season no doubt about that, hell I was even cheering him on at the end of that Fisher game because he deserved it....

But I don't want to get too far ahead thinking about Springfield the whole time when that would entail beating Union whom I think is probably slightly better than Springfield anyways.

It's ok if we think about Springfield... As long as the players don't  8)

Union will be very tough to beat no doubt. I just want another shot at Springfield.

Anyone just see the clip on MNF? I had no idea so many good QB's came out of Western PA... nice.

Anyone have any objective comments on Union? Offensively, defensively, coaching, etc...

Their defense is probably a lot smaller than SJF's oline.  The Rb is probably the best rb in upstate (more breakaway speed than ICs or Sjfs backs)  Well balanced offense and two great recievers and a steady qb.  I only saw them one game last year but those guys are back.
