Booby, we had this discussion three months ago. I don't care what sort of orifice you use to judge UR now, they SUCKED against Fisher. Their starting quarterback couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, then they brought Killingstad in and managed to make a little progress.

I think Alfred will handle U of R.
Booby- saw both games, and UR did struggle against Fisher, but it was the second game of the year-if you look at their numbers, the QB and RB position have improved, and with the SIL coaching the WR's, they've got to be better

Wasn't Suchnya still the starter when SJF played UR?  If so, that game means even less. Their offense has been even more dynamic with Kramer.

Suchnya started against UR and was pulled to start the second half. Kramer led the Cardinals to the 30-10 win after they trailed 7-6 at halftime.

Kramer played well against the Saxons Saturday. It may have been a little different with Suchnya calling signals as AU shook him up pretty good last year.

Will be interesting seeing Rochester at Merrill Field....first time since 1987 when I believe the Jackets were riding along at 8-0 and AU monkey-stomped them 48-20.
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

Hey anyone know the inj status of Kramer, for the SJF game on Sat?

No, but he is probable for the Hobart game.
Did I miss something?  Fisher is playing Union, and Kramer plays for SJF?  Where does Hobart come from in all this?

No, the games dont sell-out per se, they just keep packing them in.  There is probably 2500 'standing room' tickets avail. for each game.  They regularly announce crowds in excess of the stadiums capacity (2500).  A couple games get 4-5000 in attendance.

"monkey stomp" is a great term. i've used it before after consuming a few adult beverages. does ithaca have a patent on it?

JQV

It'd have to be a copyright but I think many of us stole it from the LLPP.

The Truth 00

the hell with them....and the hell with union!

I mean, we all hate Union, but you really hate Union.  What gives?

note: NNR don't attack JoseQViper for hating Union when he comes to speak at the Great American Teach In at your school tomorrow.

Some food for thought as we mull our wounds in the off season-does anybody from the Ithaca house think the 3/4 was effective this season?
The statistics are interesting in one special category that is sacks:
  2006-18
  2005-23
  2004-27
  2003-41 (my year)
  2002-29
  2001-28
I think pressure is the key to good defense i saw 3 games and came away with we did not do this enough and the numbers support my theory- I would be interested to hear what others think

All I know is that the defense did a hell of a job against Cortland and a crappy job against Union, SJF and SC last year.

Jonny Utah

I shouldnt say crappy as Union came up with some huge plays in that game, but I liked what I saw against Cortland this year.

bware...nice job on the stats..interesting question.

I would have "guessed" that the 2004 team would have "doubled" this year's output...felt like that team was loaded!

I think that the system cost us some yards. points. whatever early on...but I think the bottom line is always people and execution....

The "lapses" we had at SJF second half as well as AU first half cost us.....stinks, but it cost us.....

I think the real reality is this....

The East seems headed for a new level of parity so that as i read one coach on an earlier post being quoted as saying....

"Win your conference..or don't make plans for the playoffs..." or something like that...

For IC and everybody not in the playoffs...the recruiting starts ASAP......

....and I think they return stronger than this year.....except at corner...ahem , well I might be a little partial to that one kid....

   BOMBER PRIDE.....reloadin' for 2007....yeah already!!!
"We bust ours so we can beat yours..."

fan of d3

Question...

If union had won? What would SJF first round matchup be do you think?
