ok I'm back... tried to limit the bull chants and replace them with the nuts and bolts... but that phantom roughing the passer got a lot of people mad...  It was Stepnick with a pick 6...  the guys sitting in front weren't doing a thing the only people chanting were about 6 of us the guys with the cowboy hats and then a couple of us sitting directly behind them... at the end of the game I lost my voice so just went and sat down...overall this is an imporvment...it's still nothing like a basketball game...you can't here you self think it the gym...  intrested to here from frank what he thought about the fisher d....

Hopefullly we can connect at another home game in 2 weeks....Rowan could be in town if things fall into place...

off to bed....my wife says enough football for the day

We would get Rowan at home if we beat SP???

Ha, have fun w/ the Wife. Not there yet but learning they are scary when angry ... especially when too much sports are involved!

I'm actually not sure who I'd like to see, Wilkes or Rowan.

Probably should get past Springfield first.

I didn't see the FDC guys at the game, it's too bad I remember feeling good last time in the playoffs seeing Ithaca guys give support, that sort of warm and fuzzy feeling that only E8 support from an in-conference rival can give you.  

Also towards the end when they pulled the starters at 42-3 an older Union fan was congratulating Fisher and had nothing but nice things to say.... That's the kind of stuff you like to see so thanks to you for being classy whomever you are.  (maybe a poster on PP?? just maybe???)

Finally Fisher student section I am all for trying to get the crowd going and stuff like the "I believe that we will win chant" but swearing during some of the chants or chanting BullllSh*t on a bad call by the ref just isn't good, there were children everywhere in the stadium and we are better than that.  Other than that though good stuff

AU Pep Band used the "Nuts and Bolts" cheer a couple of times today.
There's also "The ref is out to lunch, the ref is out to lunch.....eat it, ref!"

It takes a little more creativity to avoid offending people with cheers. But it can be done and shows more class.

Most of all, AUPepBand attempts to support our Saxons. For instance, today, when the lonely UR trumpeter kept playing, AU Pep Band turned the lonely trumpeter's playing into a cheer for our Saxons. When he was playing, the band chanted "ALFRED!" or "DEFENSE!"

Was a lethargic AU crowd during the first half, but real feisty in the second half as Saxons had to dig themselves out of a big hole, but did it. Made for a fun day having a lively group from UR. Did not understand some of their random cheering...and sans UR posters, guess AUPepBand will never know what was happening over there. All in all, a great way to end the season. Congratulations to our Saxons on a fine exciting 8-3 season.
