You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Who knows how often you'll see Fisher in the playoffs in the second round!  On the other hand, your friend will probably get married 3 or 4 more times....  ;)

Ha, what a great point Port - I'm liking your way of thinking!

Keep em coming boys, some more of this & there will be zero chance of me being at a wedding I've already committed to!!!

haha....so you have to admit, the 3rd person becomes ingrained in the brian, doesn't it?? It happens to all of us in the LL...I can't tell you how many times at work on emails and IM that I have to catch myself from doing that...

are you serious? If so, that's a good move.....and ballsy on SJF's part. I always wished RPI or any of the other good teams in upstate NY would do that. I mean, you have to be able to compete at that level so this is a good litmus test

superman57

well when I heard it I said why... I mean it's great exposure but it's gonna be two really tough games to win...and in college football one loss could mean your season

But not against an out of region opponent...It should have no bearing on their playoff opportunities.  Imagine, though, being able to say that Fisher BEAT Mount Union.  Not that it would happen, but I think this Steps up Mount Union's Non-conference play too actually.

good litmus test? How about a Varsity / JV scrimmage... I do agree with the move though, someone has to step up and start playing at a different level. May as well be Fisher to try first.

Also, to add to what I previously said, A close loss or any loss to MUC is sometimes as good as a blow out of Endicott or something like that.

I disagree...there's no downside here. I'm assuming E8 is like the LL in that non-conf games don't impact the conf standings. You're playing for an AQ...then a pool C bid if you don't win the conf. The ultimate goal is to win a nat'l championship and the road to that usually goes through Alliance, OH. You may as well figure out in the reg season how you stack up against the purple machine. If you win, it's a national story...if you lose, you learn your lesson on how far the gap is. If you hang tight and don't get killed, then the NCAA takes notice at selection time if you're vying for a pool C bid. The pollsters don't penalize losses against teams like that as they do against, say St.Lawrence (in RPI's case)..

The mayor needs a direct line to Billy Fuccillo - like the US had with Russia during the cold war.

And he needs to use that line to tell Fuccillo that he's driving the entire city nuts.
