You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

At the very least this will be good evidence of Vosburgh's ability to prepare for a game.  I think it is his weakness as a coach.  I know Upstate disagrees.  If he can't come up with something to stop a team he has already seen once live this year, I think my claims of his preparation, or lack thereof, will be substantiated.

Now, I dont want to start talking about things I dont know about, but werent people on here saying that Vosburgh doesnt even decide which running back is going to play or not?

But I would disagree with you on one point and that would be the preperation part.  Maybe Springfield is just better and theres nothing SJF can do to adjust?   I do think SJFs lack of speed on defense is what puts them at a disavantage against SC.

Alright its monday....game week...

Superman good observation on the 200+ yards in 2 consecutive games, I didnt realize that myself.  Do I think it means he can't do it this weekend? No, but it is important to note.  What kind of adjustments do you guys think both teams will make?  Obviously SC has to eliminate big plays (4 scoring plays of 30+yards i think for fisher?) Remember Fisher only had 9 points at the half.  Fisher has to eliminate sharpe from beating them.  Stack the box?? I actually think the key to this game will be the running/blocking of Jackson who looked completely healthy for the first time in a while vs curry saturday.  Also, The turnover margin is big.  It was 3-1 in favor of SC last time, can they do it again? How's Kramers ankle? Will the turf be wet? (rain in the forecast). Lots of stuff to talk about.

Also Johnny Utah...I have no personally seen SJF defense, whats your take on the front? You said the D seems slow? How about vs the small quick offensive line of SC cutting them 100 times a game?

superman57

an observation is an observation...but I can't believe that the Fisher D will again give up 55 points I mean look at the rest of the season the springfield game is an abnomaly (sp?)  so I think we are looking at a real classic game

I agree I dont believe SJF will give up 55 points again either they seem to be clicking on all cylinders. Will the Turf make a difference?  Well I certainly dont think its going to Hurt SJF but it will give SC more of an advantage on their cuts.  How'd Kramer look last weekend moving around? I'm a little dissapointed this game is during the week of thanksgiving, I hope that doesnt stop fans from coming out.

superman57

Kramer looked good he made one good scramble...remember that Fisher plays on turf too... the field turf...and they played on astro turf untill two years ago...so the juniors and seniors played on the astro turf...Robbie's big year was on astro turf

Touche, I was not aware of that..

Well I guess two big keys for SC will be the fullback and if the D can eliminate the big plays.

Side note...the SC linebackers are listed at 5'11 195 and 5'7 195...

thats completely irrelevant to anything, but impressive they're so small. How big is lang?

superman57

5'11 200lbs...but we've all seen how much that means

First game was real nice out and on field turf...

Forecast says 55 with a few showers on Astro Turf

I mean they arent that slow, but if there was a weakness of the SJF team, I would say it would be defensive team speed, and thats not a great disadvantage to have against a team like Springfield.  But it should come down to tackling and assignments in the end run....

superman57

I agree... I was not at the game but from I heard they could not tackle....this is going to be the difernece in the game...if the Fisher D is able to tackle the game could get ugly cuz I don't think springfield can stop the fisher offense

It's true Fisher tackled very poorly & got burned b/c of it. If they can tackle & play good assignment football like Ithaca did this won't be very close.
