the key part to the game will be if Fisher can make a first stop...  They need to not let springfield play there pace...they need to make the game a clock management game...

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

I think the major key to the game for Fisher is to tackle the SC quaterback. They didn't do that too much in the first game, and he made them pay for it. Come on 7 running touchdowns for a QB.
I think a few key players back from that game on defense will help.
If the Fisher D can get some big stops early...especially a few 3 and outs, and can drive the ball, to keep the SC offense off the field, Fisher should be able control the pace of the game. And, ultimately the final score.

Lets Hope

GO FISHER!!!

We've seen Barry Manillow and Lionel Ritchie in an hour...it just CANNOT be good!  And none of the award winners seem to be even at the show.

And Clay Aiken and Tori Spelling certainly aren't married...

And that Weird Al/Chamillionaire segment was just odd.

Hey radio mike-
If they were d3 in 86 i certainly missed something.
I was there from 87-91 and remember them as a club team my freshman year.
Perhaps i overlooked it on purpose as they were getting crushed in every game while i was there..What do they say---
You've come a long way baby!

Go Alma Mater!

Hey, I just quote the Fisher Guide. That 1985 Fisher Team won the club national championship. Not too shabby. Fisher was actually a bright spot on the Hobart schedule from 1990-1994, and then they started winning for a few years until the 1997 season, when Hobart went on a  4 year run. The last time the two schools played was in 2003, the 3rd year in a row Hobart lost to the Cardinals.

One of the memories of Fisher at that time was my sophmore or junior years and a friend of mine played dline and played Gaulladet(sp).  They used a big bass drum to signal the snap count (deaf school) and they would use it to trick our d line offsides on at least 5 different times!
Drove my friend nuts!  He got flagged twice!

Morning all....gotta say, the Music Awards/Wierd AL talk is wierd even for us on this board.

Got home for the holiday last night to find out that my mom was admitted to the hospital for a minor procedure.  Sounds like everything is fine, but I am in charge of cooking thanksgiving.  Yikes.  My first attempt at a pumpkin pie is about to start.  This is going to be an interesting day.

alum91,

from my research, i think the first year of  D3 play for Fisher was in 1991.  They were 0-9 that season including a 71-0 loss to cortland.  We've definately come a long way since then...
According to their media guide, Fisher was in their 20th year at D3 play this year, starting in 1986. Cortland and Fisher played in 1988, getting thumped 48-10 by the Red Dragons.

Not to nit-pick, but if 2006 was Fisher's 20th year in D3, then 1987 was their first year.  This may explain why FA91 thinks they were still a club team his frosh year.
