The Truth 00

who knows, but i fully expect fisher to win this game. they are so well balanced on both sides of the ball - i would hope that vosbergh doesn't get outcoached, especially after that comment he made in the paper.

one thing fisher fans - the extra points look very scary. i'd rather turn my head and look away and pray that the ball goes through the uprights. it would be a shame to lose on something like that. also, i heard nowicki broke his leg so that might hurt a bit because he's the best weapon in the passing game.

p.s. i think Rowan putting up 28 at Fisher would be quite the accomplishment for the following reasons...

Fisher's defense has only yielded an average of 13.8 ppg in 12 games.  In the playoffs Union whose average was 27 ppg was held to 21 (actually the score was 42-3 after 3 quarters and they pulled the starters in the 4th when Union scored the final 18 points).  Springfield averaged about 37 ppg and they were held to 21.  Rowan averages even less than both of these at 21.7 ppg so they would really have to put up a special effort to reach that point.

If that is true about Nowicki that is a big blow, he has been the most consistent WR we have had this season in my opinion.

The Truth 00

yea that could hurt....looks like more touches for the other members of the wr corps...and i think its true unfortunately

superman57

yes losing sean will hurt but Corey Jackson stepped up big time when Nowicki went down

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Rowan is more disciplined than you think, In fact, they are a very disciplined football team. They dont turn the ball over much. They run the ball and stop the run. When a team does those 3 things, they are tough to beat. It was those 3 reasons why they beat The U last year in the playoffs.

With that said, last years Rowan team was more well rounded than this one. I saw Rowan beat Union last year, I saw SJF beat Union this year.

If SJF comes to play, and they are discilplined, they will win. In fact, I am predicting right now that SJF will win. 17-14.

The injury to Nowicki will definatly hurt...I heard something on the play by play that Robinson had a leg injury, but he was back later in the game...any news?

Re: attendance at next week's game:  I have already fielded a couple phone calls from former teammates taht I still attend games with and we will be using a 'phone tree' to connect up with the '90-95 era.  We will probably congregate in the endzone, hopefully the tent will be up, etc.  'We' are suprisingly strong in attendance for 'big' home games.  I would expect a crowd of around 4500 at the game overall.

Hopefully the D&C is done covering UR and pumpin up the other team's QB (sharpe article this week) and will actually do a story on the magnitude of this game.  I f we win we most likely earn a trip to Alliance.

GO CARDS...see ya boys Saterday

actually I doubt that the tent will be set up as the tent usually limits the amount of people...I'm going to try and make the rounds on students to set something up...maybe not a blackout but might try and get a tie-dye out set up since we should all have the tie-dye cardinal crazy shirts

Sounds like a good start...I am hitting the phones calling every friend I stay in touch with from my days on campus, trying to get a tailgate and small section of fans set up...every fan counts.

Would the high priced security guar...er rent a cops at Fisher oppose to a large scale tail-gating party?  Something that you never really see... I know that a few years ago the parents had a good spread going on before the game over behind the tennis courts...need something going on in one of the parking lots....food beer etc....

"Our players rose above some coaching mistakes," said winning mentor Paul Vosburgh. "We didn't control the clock the way we should have in the fourth quarter."

Talk about a weird quote.  Can't help but wonder if Vosburgh can handle the kind of talent he has on that team.

Yeah I was kinda ticked at their last possession of the 3rd quarter the most.  Up 27-14 and they throw 3 straight passes inside their own 20.

Mark Robinson has 44 carries so far in the post season a far cry from the 64 he recieved in 2004 after two games in the playoffs.

Rowan has not seen a player like Robinson so far, he needs to get the ball 30 times this weekend.  Plain and simple!

They threw 3 INT's yesterday.  If they throw 3 picks next week there is a pretty good chance SJF will be going to Ohio the following week.

Just got back from holiday and catching up on game results.

Though I don't have a personal interest in the SJF team (except when they kick my team's a$$ year after year, also played with a now SJF player on my HS team, and we played against another now SJF player in big HS rivalry game)

It is great to have an upstate Ny team in E-8 doing us proud. Wish Cardinals best of luck this weekend.

Cardinals10

Could there be the possibility that the 3rd round game could produce additional alumni and students from SJF?  It was a very poor showing during the Union game!  I understand SJF is typically a basketball powerhouse and the season has begun but lets not forget the importance of this FOOTBALL game against Rowan.  Many have doubted the Fisher Football program year after year and this is the time we need the most support from the entire athletic department and college (INCLUDING PROFESSORS).  i.e. - Alumni tailgate, Dedicated student section, GREAT idea from Superman w/ t-shirts.  Lets spend a little money given the magnitude of next Saturdays's game!!!

Looking forward to a little support from this posting!
