back to fb.
weather may be a factor.
temps are going to drop and the feild may be slick w/ rain/snow in the forcast.
does it play a role?

fisheralum91

gro- ive been to many AFL games and more pro games...
Sorry- doesnt hold a candle to NHL.
Do love the arena game though-very quick...

'gro

I said more bang for your buck. I've been to a few NHL and NFL games.

NFL, always a good time, always a drain in the pocket (parking, drinks, food, tickets, etc)
NHL, hit or miss and expensive.
Arena Ball, more exciting than hockey, and half the price.

maybe I'm just cheap!!

fisheralum91

price point ill give ya gro, but more exciting than nhl?
no- not in my eyes.

I'd say probably not - but if weather plays a factor I would think it favors Fisher.

I know Rowan has a great Defense, but so does Fisher so I'd take Fisher in a game where both offenses had to pound it out on the ground.

I'd take hockey over arena as well...but you're right about the wallet hit.  The worst thing that could have happened was the Garden started taking credit cards.  Kills me when I go to a game or a fight there.  Not having to worry about drving home and good beers = very drunk realistic and very bad credit card bill.

I think weather is hardly ever a factor this time of year (both teams deal with it yada, yada, yada)

the exception to this is when the south comes to the weather.  All the North, East and most of the West kids are used to playing ball in cold, snow, etc...south, and southern Cal kids are not.  When Redlands came to St Johns in '02 most were praying for some good old Minnesota weather....it never came and didn't matter anyway but I think that is when it plays a role.

Jose,

In Gro's time in Tampa gro took in many arena ball games down at the forum, including arean bowl (whatever number) which the storm won. Gro believes that arena ball offers more bang for your buck than hockey.

I love the Storm.  I still try to catch at least a game or two every season.  They were the only team that won anything in Tampa while I was little so we went all the time.  Somewhere, at my parents house, I have a storm jersey from the seasons when they wore Zubaz uniforms.

when i worked in albany---many moons ago-- i caught the Firebirds and loved watching them- quite a show!!

superman57

loved going to see the firebirds...and the old old Capital District Islanders or the Adorondack Red Wings those were the days.... Knowing south jersey a little bit....severe cold and snow can only benefit fisher because jersey does not and will never get snow  or cold like rochester does

just got the email
Tickets for Saturday's NCAA Division III East Region Championship game between St. John Fisher College and Rowan University will be available from 11:30 – 1 p.m. on Thursday in the Bonadio Atrium of the Campus Center.

You can also purchase tickets on Saturday, starting at 10 a.m.  Kickoff is set for noon at Fisher's Growney Stadium.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for students with valid ID.

Fisher, making its first appearance in the "Elite 8", owns an 11-1 record on the year, the most wins in the program's history.

Rowan (9-2) won its 16th New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship this season to earn an automatic bid to the national tournament and defeated previously-unbeaten Wilkes University 21-14 last week.  The Profs, making their 13th NCAA appearance, have advanced to the national title game, the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl, five times (1999, 1998, 1996, 1995, 1993). They have also reached the national semifinals on five different occasions, including each of the last two seasons.
