I loved it too.  That was more a comment on Spurrier than the unis.  I loved the oranger unis with Bucco Bruce too.  In fact, my dad and I wore the old Orange jerseys in Dallas last week.  He wore a Lee Roy Selmon Jersey and I, being the lightningrod for controversy, wore an Alvin Harper jersey from his forgettable stint with my team.  Funny thing, in that game the Bucs looked a lot like their Alvin Harper era and the Cowboys looked like their Alvin Harper era

I don't think it is the Purple....I think it is the Purple and Yellow.  Mount, Linfield, UWWW all pull off the purple well.  Not piling it on Pep, just my observation.

You peasants can have your blues and reds and greens.  The Saxons (and AU Pep Band) proudly wear the regal purple and gold.  We understand the natural contempt that comes from the ignoble underlings of DIII football toward the majesty who is King Alfred (and AUPB).  One need look no further than the hacks over at Mt. Union to understand purple is the true color of power and authority!

AUPepBand has recently completed the greatest post in E8PP History.  To those of you that don't get it, go back about two weeks and read AUKaz00's posts.  That is so hysterical I am giving you +k every 24 hours for the next two weeks.  I just laughed so loud that my friend in the office next door came in to see what was so funny.  My attempted explanation was almost as funny as the post.

I dont think that AU's unis are the greatest, however, you have to give them props for tuning out the white  face masks several years back in favor of the black facemasks and the black tape for spats.  The other thing is that there isn't a ton of gold anymore.  You have the gold numbers and the AU on the shoulders and helmets.  Thats it. 
By the way, slu's uni's are disgusting.  Two tone socks.  Red and brown with white facemasks?  Come on.  On top of that, they suck!  Am I biased?  Nooooo.  I just wish that slu would burn to the ground.  What?

yeah everybody hates yellow snow.....but they know what it is.
