You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

To all SJF fans,

I haven't had a chance to remark on the game this weekend.  I was able to listen to most of the game, and I must say that I was pretty impressed with how SJF played.  They played a great game on offense, defense and special teams.  I can't even hint at the idea that Rowan shot themselves in the foot and blew the game.  SJF just played better!  I think that SJF has a very legit shot a taking down Mount Union.  Good luck next this Saturday.  I have a feeling that SJF will be represent the East in a respectable fashion.

More info on eating establishments in Alliance--there is very little in the way of "chain" restaurants--Bob Evans, Ponderosa, Applebee's all on the west end of town near the mall and hotels--there are some nice local spots though--most of which are on State Street--the main commercial drag through town--

Brandon's Iron Skillet--overpriced steak and pasta--but a good bar
Pancho's--good tex-mex (well, good for Ohio)
Cesar's--American/Italian
Texas Roadhouse--steakhouse chain--good food--huge servings
Pisanello's--local pizza and pasta shop
Polinori's--already recommended elsewhere--okay Italian
College Inn Eatery--basically a sandwich and soup place--very near the stadium
La Pinata--good mexican--recommend the veggie fajitas

I know I don't have them all, but there are a number of reasonable places in town--there is also a plethora of fast food and Chinese restaurants--all up and down State Street.

I've made the drive to Rochester more than once myself--it's not a bad trip--depending on the condition of I-90.

Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

Here is the Kaz00 East Region Final top 10 (not publicly endorsed by AUPB):

1.   St. John Fisher
2.   Wilkes
3.   Springfield
4.   Rowan
5.   Union
6.   Hobart
7.   Cortland
8.   Alfred
9.   Delaware Valley
10. Rochester

I honestly think that Rowan was probably the seventh best team in the east this year except that their experience and a few lucky breaks helped them along when it mattered most, but it's hard to knock a team that reaches the region finals.  Union and Hobart was a toss-up and I went with the regular season result as the tie-breaker.

My apologies to RPI, Ithaca and Montclair who are probably interchangeable with the bottom 3.

nice respect for RPI ...who beat Union and Cortland (handily at their place) and lost to Hobart by 7.....

Senor RedTackle

wasn't their talk of a MUC/SJF home&home series anyway? So we're getting a preview of that.....

superman57

there is a home and home starting in 08 at fisher

Wow that stings Kaz... F-ing U of R?  Hope the Bombers are reading this.  Especially sad that U of R is the only program listed in the top 10 that I can legitimately argue we had a better year than...

Jose, I was really debating about the last 3 spots.  I obviously gave Alfred the #8 because I'm biased, but they also only lost to playoff teams and I couldn't put Ithaca or Rochester ahead due to head-to-head.  Del Valley should probably be 8, but they lost their bowl so I put them 9.  I wanted to put RPI 10, but couldn't put them over UofR who beat them.  And Montclair, while beating Rowan in OT was as about equal to Kean in my mind.  So, that left me with UofR and Ithaca for 10 and since Alfred had to go to OT with the Yellow Jackets I gave them the advantage over Ithaca.  Not perfect science and I didn't use all the same logic in ranking Rowan 4, but it's still fun to make these lists.
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

let's see...
1)Fisher
2)Springfield
3)Wilkes
4)Union
5)Rowan
6)Hobart
7)Alfred
8. RPI
9.Cortland
10 tie Rochester DVC and Ithaca

Why not? Union beat UR and RPI beat Union. I take umbrance at this ranking, especially by using your logic then, if 'head to head' carries such weight. If that's the case, RPI should be ahead of Cortland and somewhere between Union and UR. RPI's quality of wins are higher than UR or even Cortland, in my opinion...
