You claim to be objective & truthful, but you never admit that Fisher can beat any team in the nation this year if they play good football.

Same goes for Capital, or UWW, etc...

I said on numerous occasions that I thought they'd beat Rowan, and on the Daily Dose I did a lot of pumping up of the team.  I'm just saying that Capital, had they beaten Mount Union, would be almost as tough a challenge.
last time Fisher got a look a Garcon I believe he scored 5 touchdowns.  Garcon will kill Fisher again

Classy post from an Assistant SID

Assistant Sports Info. Director Crosby, Charlie 802-485-2011 ccrosby@norwich.edu

Maybe you should spend more time looking up how many touchdowns current 'Wich players scored this season.  I think the total is about 5.

The NCAA doesn't move its events for anything, pretty much. All football games begin at noon local time -- NO exceptions.

Which is kind of a bummer for us, I wouldn't mind some staggered kickoffs. Would make the day more fun to cover.

Why do they start at noon Pat?

Seems like the most common starting time, in NY State at least, is 1 or 1:30.

Although somewhat antiquated, playoff games all start after Daylight Savings Time expires.  Thus, a 1:00pm start time, with the potential of overtime, would put the game potentially under the cover of darkness.  Not all facilities are prepared for night games, and the NCAA I believe did not want to penalize teams simply for not having sufficient lighting for a night game.  Noon kickoffs, even in the eastern-most portion of any time zone, will allow about 4 hours to end the game and avoid any problems.  Granted, most schools are now equipped for night games, but the rule has yet to be changed -- probably at the behest of several of the smaller colleges that might not yet have added such lighting.

Something I hadn't thought of...there aren't lights at any IC outdoor facilities.

Does your boss, Scott Miller, know this is how you spend your day?

Do any of our bosses know, for that matter? :-)

But be careful counselor -- you know that people go by ironic pseudonyms on here all the time.  Don't put yourself in a position for a libel suit.

Edit -- I see the email address on his profile...so I guess that adds a layer of protection here.  Granted, the single post makes me queasy when light posters go into attack mode...

That is sound advice Frank, I appreciate it.

I will say this, it is the only ccrosby@norwich.edu a search of their website produces.

Edit: Also not the first libel discussion to have arisen on E8PP.

Congrats to SJF on making it to the semi-finals.  Taking down Mt. Union will be no easy task.  Good luck and hopefully it is an injury free game!

Wait a minute...this guy is a member of the Norwich administration? Are you kidding me? An asst. SID posting to talk smack?? Nice level of professionalism. What an f'in tool....if I was the AD, I'd fire his azz on the spot. What a complete loser and this is why Norwich will be a bottom feeder program forever.....

The Truth 00

great investigative work jose. +k to you.  i don't know why this guy is sticking up for garcon when he left norwich. i don't blame him for leaving. if you've ever been there, you'd know what i'm talking about. he also has a national championship already so i'd say he got the hell out of dodge when necessary.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

superman57

it bugs me that he would dare come on here and start to bash fisher...I mean ya we've been bashing Garcon but it's all been in fun because we are all sore from 2004

Since Norwich is a military school, I doubt we'll hear from him again...He's probably being Court Marshalled as we speak, even if he's a civilian.  Gotta admit, if he's really an ASID, he must be on ACID to conduct himself like that while working for a military school.  I'm getting frustrated at the outliers on these boards -- after two weeks of pushing back at the buffoonery, even the most excitable posters have cooled their jets and are enjoying the ride along with their Mt. Union counterparts.  I'm really impressed.  For those jackasses still out there, please stop killing the love-fest until body parts are put at risk on Saturday at High Noon.
