SJF beat three playoff teams on the road this year (U of R and Alfred to the ECACs and Springfield in the NCAAs). Smoked, and I mean smoked two teams that have the most (other than MUC) Stagg Bowl appearances in Ithaca and Rowan. And promptly beat down the Champion of the Liberty League in Union College.  Simply put in 13 games this season, SJFC has played 6 playoff teams.

As for the other teams, well we all can't be lucky enough to have a Heidelberg or Muskingum to play every year to pad our regular season numbers.  MUC plays two hard teams a year in Baldwin Wallace and Capital and a Club level schedule the rest of the way.

You should be getting some rest my man, we'll need you Saterday ;)

Who did you play for? That team was A-A's best in 50 years until my son's senior season, two years later.

Prattsburgh - and I'd argue that was your best team.

The first part I don't agree with really, but I completely agree with this part. And I think people will be surprised with the outcome of this game on Saterday because of it.

Ha...you played for Burke? It may very well have been our best team but the 2001-02 season finished with a better record, at 19-4. Andy Marlatt's team probably had a better coach....that's the thing at A-A....10 coaches in 10 seasons or so it seems. Prattsburgh has always had Burke and probably always will.

They play that schedule every year.  It hasn't caused a surprising outcome too many times in the playoffs thus far.

What I meant by that is that I don't think MUC is going to run away with it like many feel.

Can't remember what Marlatt's team did against Prattsburgh. Didn't you have a big center that year?

All we can do is wait and see I suppose.

Beat us by 8 or 9 ... We had Tom Hann that year - 6'6 ... but He was out that game.

Well, you probably remember Brendan Smalt....probably a JV when you were playing varsity at Prattsburgh. He just finished at AU. He was one of the 30 students I took to Florida for Spring Break to build houses for Habitat. Nice kid.

You had a pitcher that year that won Player of the Year over our short stop - we beat him 13-4 or something in the 2nd round of sectionals, which was sweet b/c our ss had like 5 hits off him.

Can't remember his name!

Think he's working at some glass shop or something around Naples or Prattsburgh. Can't remember exactly. He brought a guitar on the trip and performed at an Open Mic at a coffeehouse where I took the group! (His first time with a microphone.)
