What's  Ithaca's recruiting going to be like? They lost  a few great players to  SJF the last few years.  With Fisher going deep in the playoffs  and making a game of it with MU, plus having  them on the schedule 2008 you would think Fisher has the advantage

that is why maybe a quick meeting with a school pyscoligst or academic cousalor would help...I mean anyone transfering should consider talking to someone

Well, that's just it -- I think a review process would at least ensure that a student-athlete is completely looking at the options realistically (no pun intended).  I have more faith in kids that are getting B's and better (3.0 or better) in terms of their direction and decision than kids getting C's (borderline 2.0 -- enough to play, but barely).  Maybe the review process would be somewhat lenient, but would require a discussion with a sports psychologist and a formal statement by the student-athlete if the GPA was under 3.0.

I think this run may hurt Fisher's recruiting a bit.  There is a trick to recruiting when you already have a roster full of good players.  A lot of schools never really learn how to do it so, their success ebbs and flows.  Other schools figure it out and simply reload.  For the first time we will be able to see how Vosburgh recruits when he can't offer every kid immediate PT.

ER- it was a pleasure indeed!
I will make it to 2 or 3 games next year!
Are you still going to make the trip every week?

fisheralum91

personally I just don't think there is that much of a need.

Also - adding the 3.0 clause would hinder students who may be tranfering to a school for academic reasons, or possibly trying to find a school with less emphasis on football and more on academics.

Overall, I just don't think the tranfer rate is high enough or being done for the wrong reasosns to try and restrict it.

Any stats, Pat, for D3 football players?

No.

He's married and a doctor. He just makes cogent, well-thought out analytical posts, contribute to a bunch of boards across the country and is not a homer. That will get someone well on the way to the Posting HOF.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Superman....you at least need a spot for "other"

I'd nominate FA91 for finally making it back to Fisher for a game or er and Bob N for being able to be parents of current players as well as insighful fans who didn't take everything said on here as a personal insult.

fisheralum91

wow-
that many posts.....

Pat that is something!

Anywhoo-
