You are correct Frank. 104 games in 120 years (1886).

When it comes to NYS rivalries, I'm pretty sure that for the players & coaches Ithaca/Cortland is equal to RPI/Union.  When I was at RPI the only thing more intense than Union week was the playoffs.  Both sets of schools are also equal when it comes to recruiting wars, since they are so close to eachother and fight for the same kids each year.

RPI/Union has an advantage in age and tradition, but I think IC/Cstate has more student and local support. They draw about 10,000 to that game yearly. RPI & Union have a great alumni following, but the students just aren't into it like they are at IC/Cstate.

at fisher the players don't live together....but there are only 3 and a half male freshman floors so there are only so many places for the freshman to live....from what I've seen like anything it is a time investment...but not much different from High School except it might be easier than high school because we don't go to school for as long and have longer nights...

Boy..I wish I had those conditions. At RPI it was, for me at least, a big time investment. I was a lineman and came in weaker then those who had formal HS weight programs. I would say it was a year round job...in the summer, you're lifting full time and running along w/ position & agility drills you're given to work on. In the season, you are still lifting regularly, you have the practices & games, meetings, study halls, etc. Throw in class and workstudy or any type of job a student may have to get some scratch and this becomes a regimine. Even after the season but while school is in session, there was regular lifting, rehab (if needed), class/work, unofficial "meetings" or "practices" or anything thing else that the NCAA wouldn't be too fond of. I would same gameday was the one welcome day where it was fun and you felt like it was easier than the practice and lifting regimine because you finally have a chance to hit someone else.

At RPI, freshman were pretty much required to live in dorms. After that, it's either off campus apartments or the greek life. RPI has alot of frat's so you'll either find the FB players in one of those (there's one particular frat who tends to get a high skew of athletes) or rooming together at slum Troy slum hole.

RT- it's a big time investment for Fisher also, don't worry. They are all working hard year round hitting the weights - conditioning programs are in full swing in the off-season as well.

I can't see it doing anything but intensifying as they taste more and more success - I'm sure they're desire to do whatever it takes to get back to 2006 status will be at pretty high levels going forward.

Ya, I lost my list of New Year's resolutions but I'm fairly certain that wasn't on it.

So I wonder what chance Green Bay has to win the "Strength of Victory" tiebreaker over the Giants... lol.

I think it was something insane like 250,000 to 1...but if you look at the teams that needed to win...would cause severe havoc in the afc...I'm hoping that it comes true cause I would love to see brett make the playoffs...but if the pakers make it a will wear a dress to the Fisher Ithaca game...you have my word

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

I think the fact that Detroit having to win is one of the main components means that it's Curtains for Green Bay...though I would like to see the havoc unfold.

I know it's a time investment at SJF or any other college who's got their act together. I was just amazed when I saw 57's comments implying it may be easier than HS. That's just a ludicrous statement which wouldn't be made by someone who played college ball. The only thing that HS may have been harder at was the amount of conditioning and some of the drills that some schools do. There are HS's out there that will run and hit the kids to death....because the coaches don't know any better. College is so much more mental AND you've got the cream of every HS's crop on your team. You don't have the time or need to run incessantly (except maybe in camp) and it's the same for hitting. Practices are still intense but it's a much more complete test of your mental and physical skills. I don't remember HS being nearly as demanding as college

Doesn't matter, there are 2 other results that are not in the favor of the packers' strength of victory as well (vikings losing, carolina winning)... too bad I may have come just to see you in a dress LOL.
